Lover of TREK? Welcome! Ecuador is surrounded by 20 volcanoes: 9 rising to over 5000 meters! Thats why the famous geographer, Alexander Von Humboldt, named it as the Volcano Route which is a piece of 250 km that connects the city of Otavalo at the north to the city of Cuenca at the south. There is no other place in the world that concentrates as many volcanoes as in Ecuador.Small tips: trekking does not represent a great difficulty; however you may not rush the first day to climb the hardest trails, more if you have not exercised daily and

you need training. Although is very safe, breathing becomes more difficult passing the 3000 meters. The best thing to do is to practice this activity with a professional guide. Take your time, you are on vaca-tion!There are many agencies that can help and offer up three weeks packages that include lodging, meals, and guide. Ob-viously your budget should be related to your ambition but generally the rates charged are identical and are clearly justified.

Enamorado del trek? Bienvenido! El Ecuador dispone de 20 volcanes de los cuales 9 se elevan a ms de 5000 metros! Esta es la razn por la cual el fa-moso gegrafo, Alexander Von Humboldt, nombro como Ruta de los volcanes el trozo de 250 km que conecta la cuidad de Otavalo al Norte con la ciudad de Cuenca ms al sur. En ninguna otra parte del mundo se puede encontrar una con-centracin de tantos volcanes como en el Ecuador. Pequeos consejos: ciertos senderos no presentan ninguna mayor dificultad, sin embargo no te precipites desde el pri-mer da a subir lo ms arduo si te hace falta entrenamiento o si no te ejercitas diariamente. En efecto, no existe mucho riesgo pero la respiracin se hace ms difcil pasando los 3000 metros de altura. Lo ms recomendable es practicar esta actividad con un gua profesional. Toma tu tiempo, ests de vacaciones!!

Existen numerosas agencias que podrn ayudarte y ofrecerte paquetes hasta 3 semanas con hospedaje, alimentacin, gua. Obviamente tu presupuesto debe ser relacionado con tus deseos, pero por lo general las tarifas aplicadas son idnti-cas y se justifican ampliamente.

Mindo se encuentra a 2 horas de Quito en el camino hacia la provincia de Esme-raldas. As que se puede optar por una excursin desde Quito o hacer escala antes de llegar a la provincia verde e ini-ciar el recorrido de la ruta del spondylus. Es un destino turstico hibrido ya que tie-ne un clima y una vegetacin entre el tipo sierra y el tipo costa. No te olvides de tu paraguas. Llueve a menudo pero vale la pena. Bosques, colibrs, orqudeas, chocolate, truchas, rafting, tarabita, cas-cadas. A 30 kilmetros de la ciudad de Esme-raldas se encuentra Atacames que con su inmensa playa atrae durante todo el ao turistas nacionales e internacionales. Lugar de salida, de reuniones y de farra, Atacames dispone de ventajas para se-ducir a los viajeros en busca de diversin y entretenimiento. La oferta hotelera es amplia y variada. Soy estudiante en una escuela de nego-cios (IFAG) en Lyon, Francia. Durante mis estudios tengo la oportunidad de hacer una pasanta de 9 meses en cualquier pas del mundo. As que con un poco de suerte y mucha investigacin aqu es-toy en Ecuador.Al salir del aeropuerto qued asombrada por la diferencia con mi pas. Me encuen-tro en una ciudad en el corazn de las montaas. Para m hay una diferencia en-tre una inclinacin hacia la modernidad y el deseo de continuar con las tradiciones y costumbres.Las amistades no tardaron en hacerse y los descubrimientos tampoco. La vista desde el Telefrico, museos, senderismo en los volcanes... todo me dej recuerdos inolvidables que podr compartir con mi familia cuando regrese.Antes de empezar mi pasanta en Sa (Es-meraldas), fui a Canoa. La playa es her-mosa y hospitalaria. Mis das iban al ritmo de las olas, el canto de los pjaros y las siestas en las hamacas.Cuando por fin llegu a Sa, sent que haba llegado a un lugar menos tursti-co que Quito o Canoa, pero no menos acogedor, por el contrario. Este pequeo pueblo de pescadores me trae paz, me recuerda que el mar est cerca. La ciu-dad de Atacames no est lejos y pue-do encontrar todo lo que necesito. Las fiestas son numerosas y las atracciones tursticas tambin.El Ecuador me hace feliz, me parece que es el lugar ideal para aprender de los de-ms, descubrir y hacerme crecer.

The parties are numerous, and there are many tourists attractions.Ecuador makes me happy, I think it is the ideal place to learn from others, discover new things and it makes me become more mature.

Atacames attracts lovers of the sea and the rainforest, to those wishing to practice water skiing, diving, fishing and boating or just enjoying the warm waters of the sea.Walking among the rural roads of each canton parishes and precincts of Ata-cames is an interesting alternative to dis-cover the scenic countryside where grass, reeds and fruit trees Guadas combine and harmonize in a symphony of colors and scents typical of the field that at-tracts and make you love them.

Location The canton is located in the northwestern part of Esmeraldas and the northwest of the Republic of Ecuador. It borders the counties Muisne and Esmeraldas and the Pacific Ocean. It is composed of 5 par-ishes. On the coast: Tonsupa, Atacames, Sua and Tonchige (Same) and inside: La Union.

Climate and average tempetureThe weather is warm, Atacames is one of the few places in the Ecuadorian geog-raphy enjoying constant temperatures (25 C average) and the bright sunshine for most of the year. The sea has an average temperature of 24 C. The summer season lasts from June to December.

D&D: What do you project to do?E.H: Our main project for this period is a website that is currently under construction. Through this tool we value and promote all the places inside the canton and our affiliates. Moreover, involving national tour-ism fairs.

Usually the tourists visit the highlands, the Amazon, the Galapos and the south coast. I would say to the tourists that give an opportunity to our province, to come see everything we have to offer.

SuaSituado en una baha, Sa es un pue-blo de pescadores ms tranquilo y ms pequeo que su vecina Atacames. Ofre-ce un trozo de vida tpico de la costa del Pacfico. El da est marcado por la actividad de los habitantes, el canto de los pjaros, y los bares del malecn en la noche. Se escucha en el fondo el movimiento del mar, ms adecuado para nadar que en otras partes. Durante el da con la marea baja, es posible llegar a la ciudad a pie. Su gente amable acoge a los turistas del Ecuador y del mundo ente-ro con los brazos abiertos y siempre estn dispuestos a charlar. De noche, la ciudad se llena de vida con el sonido de la m-sica tropical y el Malecn es el escenario de un ambiente relajado. La cercana de Atacames permite alternar tranquilidad y descanso con farra continua. A diferen-cia de otras atracciones tursticas mas conocidas del ecuador, Sa es poco visi-tado. Esta afluencia turstica le da un lado autntico de un lugar a escala humana fuera de las rutas establecidas y fuera de lo comn.

Located in a bay, Sa is a fishing village quieter and smaller than its neighbor Ata-cames. It offers a piece of typical life of the Pacific coast. The day is punctuated by the activity of the people and the birds singing, at night by the bars of the Male-con. You can hear in the background the sea motion,wich is more suitable for swim-ming than in other parts. During the day at low tide, you can reach the city on foot. Its friendly people welcome tourists from Ec-uador and the whole world with open arms and are always happy to chat. At night, the city is full of life by the sound of tropical music and the Malecon is the setting for a relaxed atmosphere. The closeness of Atacames allows you to switch tranquility and rest with continuous partying. Contrast to other most popular tourist attractions of Ecuador, Sa is little visited. This tourist af-fluence gives an authentic and uncommon side to this human scale place out of the established routes.

Como se prepara?Ingredientes :

2 libras de camaron 2 cebollas coloradas grandes (cebollaroja/paitea) 2 tomates bien maduros Cilantro al gusto 4 limones 1 cucharada de mostaza 2 cucharadas de salsa de tomate 2 cucharadas de aceite Sal Pimienta

1 Ponga el camarn en una taza de Agua hirviendo con sal, djelo hervir por 5 minutos, y seprelo del agua, ponga a enfriar el agua, pele la ce-bolla y pquela en medias lunas bien finito y lvela con sal y con azcar, despus lave bien la cebolla.

2 Luego crtala con los cuatro limones, pele los tomates y squele la semilla, pquelos en cuadritos, luego mezcle esto con la cebolla, la salsa de to-mate, la mostaza, el cilantro, sal y pi-mienta, y el aceite.

3 Luego cuando el camarn y el agua estnfros mescle todo.

How to prepare ?

Ingredients :

2 pounds of shrimp 2 large red onions 2 ripes tomatoes Coriander 4 limes 1 table spoon mustard 2 table spoons of tomato sauce 2 table spoon soil Salt Pepper

1 Put the shrimp in a pot of boiling salt-ed water, let it boil for 5 minutes, and remove from the water, let the water cool, peel and chop the onion into half-moons and wash well with salt and sugar, then wash the onion.

2 Then cut the four lemons, peel the to-matoes and dry the seeds, chop into cubes, and then mix this with onions, ketchup, mustard, coriander, salt, pep-per and oil.

3 Then we mix everything with the shrimp and cold water.

Cebiche de Camarn!Existen diferentes hiptesis sobre el origen del nombre de este plato. La Real Academia Espaola sugiere en su diccionario, que cebiche podra provenir de la palabra rabe sikba que se refie-re a un mtodo de conservar viandas en medios cidos, como el vinagre. Segn el historiador Javier Pulgar Vidal, el nombre seviche viene de la palabra quechua siwichi, cuyo significado sera pescado fresco o pescado tierno. En stas relata cmo las mujeres moriscas tomadas como botn de guerra por las huestes de los Reyes Catlicos en Grana-da mezclaban zumo de naranja agria, y despus jugo de limn, al pescado crudo.Sobre el origen de este plato existen diversas interpretaciones. Debido al ori-gen martimo de su preparacin, algunas teoras lo sitan en la gastronoma de los pueblos indgenas de las costas pacfi-cas de Sudamrica.

Share and improve needy childrens life of Ecuador!

In Ambato, a Small town in Ecuadors heart, is an ONG that brings young people of all the world to help those who are more needy. Germany, Spain, Switzerland, Ec-uador, France, Bolivia, Belgium, Korea since 20 years students and young travel-lers from around the world have come to the ONG to contribute with the project

What is the project about?Jovenes para el futuro has built a school to give classes to the more backward chil-dren: orphans in the streets, victims of fam-ily violence, those who have suffer childish work, or desert by their parents. The ONG has also built a houses in order to take in female teenager victims of mal-treatment and young mothers that dont have support from their families.

Why?Ecuador is a beautiful country, but there are 5 children of 10 that suffer maltreat-ment, rape, and family desert. Ambato reached 91% of family violence in 2012. The Ecuador s classic school system can-not educate those children and teenag-ers that have a lot of problems, so the ONG takes responsibility for them in a close way.

Opening of calls to come to ecuador!All the young interested can apply for helping in what they can. So JOVENES PARA EL FUTURO suggest you spend your holidays helping children and at the same time discovering the country, it s people, it s landscapes and culture.

How can i help?Becoming a volunteer : Giving classes, do-ing playful activities with the children, help-ing in the dining room, or going for a walk with the teenagers.

How does it work?You can come for a week or two, or a full month. In the morning you help children, and for the time remaining you live and eat with de teenagers and volunteers of the ONG.The price for your stay is 8$ (eight dollars) per day. All the money collected is use for purchasing supplies, food, clothes, and books for the children and teenagers.And if you loved our country and the proj-ect well become a really volunteer and stay here all the year for a smaller price!

Compartir y mejorar la vida cotidiana de nios necesitados de Ecuador

En Ambato, pequea ciudad, en pleno corazn del Ecuador, existe una ONG que trae a jvenes del mundo entero para ayudar a los ms necesitados.Alemania, Espaa, Suiza, Ecuador, Fran-cia, Bolivia, Blgica, Corea desde hace 20 aos estudiantes, y viajeros de todas partes ya han venido a la ONG para aportar su granito de arena al pro-yecto.

De qu trata el proyecto?Jvenes para el futuro ha construido una escuela para dar clases a los nios ms atrasados: hurfanos de la calle, los que han sufrido violencia familiar, trabajo infantil, o abandono. Tambin construy una casa para acoger a adolescentes vctimas de maltrato y madres que no tienen el apoyo de sus familias.

Porqu?Ecuador es un bello pas, pero en el que 5 de cada 10 nios sufre maltratos y aban-dono familiar, y una de cada 5 mujeres ha sufrido violencia sexual. El cantn de Ambato tiene el 91% de violencia familiar en el 2012. El sistema escolar clsico del pas no puede ocuparse de estos nios y adolescentes con tantos problemas, as que la ONG se ocupa de ellos de mane-ra personalizada.

Apertura de convocatorias para venir a ecuador! Todos los jvenes interesados pueden postular para participar en lo que pue-dan. As Jvenes para el Futuro te pro-pone pasar tus vacaciones ayudando a nios y al mismo tiempo descubriendo el pas, su gente, sus paisajes y su cultura.

En qu puedo ayudar? Dando cursos, haciendo actividades ldi-cas con los nios, ayudando en el come-dor, participando en los paseos con los adolescentes.

Como funciona?Puedes venir por una semana, dos, o todo un mes. Por la maana ayudas a los nios, y el resto del da vives y comes con los adolescentes y voluntarios de la funda-cin. El costo de tu estada es de 8$ (ocho dlares) por da. Todo el dinero recau-dado sirve para comprar tiles escolares, comida, ropa, y libros para los nios.Y si te gusto nuestro pas y el proyecto pues te quedas todo el ao!
