Miscellaneous: Deco Art Americana Multi Purpose Sealer, Sand Paper or Sanding Disk, Super Film, Tracing paper, Transfer paper, Stylus, Tack Cloth, Deco Art Varnish of choice.

Surface: 10” Heart Shaped Wooden Plate or what ever surface that you have.

Preparation: Sand the entire piece. Apply the sealer according to manufactures directions. Sand the entire piece again. Wipe with the tack cloth.

Back Ground: Base the entire plate Poodle Skirt Pink. Slip slap the entire plate Poodle Skirt Pink and White. You do this by using a flat brush and one corner of the brush is loaded with Poddle Skirt Pink and the opposite side is loaded in the White. The outside edge of the plate dounle loaded in the same manner as before but this time you will use Poodle Skirt Pink and Deep Burgundy and slip slap the outside edge of the plate. Go over all of this with a slip slap of Poodle Skirt Pink and White. Behind the bears slip slap White. Shade around behind the bears, table and cup on the table and along the outside edge of the plate Deep Burgundy.

Basecoats: Bears… Burnt Umber The nose… Black Boy’s Sweater… Bleached Sand Girl’s Shirt… White Table… Deep Burgundy Cup… Under coat White. Base Bleached Sand. Boy’s Pants… Sapphire Girl’s Skirt… Bubble Gum Pink Straws… Line the parts of the straws above the cup White and below the cup Grey Sky.

Details: Boy’s Sweater… Shade the along the collar of the sweater, down the front of the sweater around the table Grey Sky. The arm is shaded along the right hand side, and along the bottom of the cuff Grey Sky. The pocket is shaded along the outside edge and along the outside of the arm Grey Sky. The collar and the cuff is lined Grey Sky. Highlight the down the back of the sweater White. The arm is highlighted along the left side of the arm and along the shoulder and down toward the elbow White. Highlight the pocket White. Line the letter on the pocket Grey Sky. Boy’s pants… The pants are shaded along the top in front of the sweater Midnight Blue. Shade the top sides of both legs and along end of the legs next to the table leg Midnight Blue. Split the legs with a shade on the top leg Midnight Blue. Highlight the bottom edge of the pants on the leg Country Blue. The top leg is highlighted with a back to back or a dry brush, which you are most comfortable with, Country Blue. Girl’s Shirt… Shade under the collar and down the back of the shirt Grey Sky. The sleeve is shaded along the outside edge and along the bottom of the puff of the sleeve Grey Sky. There is also another shade along the table on the shirt Grey Sky. Highlight White along the front of the collar, around the puff of the sleeve White. Also on the shirt from the table to back White. Dot the shirt Bubble Gum Pink. Girl’s Skirt… The skirt is shaded along the top and along the top and bottom next to the table Deep Burgundy. Highlight along the bottom of the skirt Poodle Skirt Pink. Dry brush the middle Poodle Skirt Pink. Table… Shade under where the bears are touching the table, along the outside edge of the table and along the outside edge of the cup Cranberry Wine. The table leg is shaded along the right hand side of the leg down to the bottom Cranberry Wine. Highlight around the front edge of the table, along the top edge of the table and along the left side hand of the leg Fiery Red. Dry brush the front edge Fiery Red. Cup… The right hand side of the cup and the front edge of the top is shaded Grey Sky. Highlight the top back edge of the cup, down the left side and along the bottom of the cup White. Straws… Line both straws Deep Burgundy. Shade the top of the straw on the left side and along where it touches the mouth Grey Sky. The straw on the right side is shaded along the bottom and along where it touches the mouth Grey Sky.

Bear’s… Pounce a brush mix on both bear’s heads, hands and the chest Burnt Umber and Desert Sand. Then pounce straight Desert Sand with a dirty brush. Then still with a dirty brush and a brush mix of Desert Sand and Butter Milk. Shade the boy bear’s head along the right side of the ear, a short shade along the back of the ear, along the front of the head and along the nose down the front of the muzzle Light Cinnamon. The outside edge of the muzzle on the face is shaded Light Cinnamon. Shade along the bottom of the head to about the middle Light Cinnamon. Go over all of this Burnt Umber. The boy’s ear is shaded along the inside Light Cinnamon going over this Burnt Umber and then line from the shading out toward the center Light Cinnamon. The boy bear’s hand is shaded along the right side and along the top of the sleeve Light Cinnamon. Go over all of this Burnt Umber. The girl bear’s head is shaded along the back of the ear, down the back of the head to all the way down to the muzzle Light Cinnamon. Shade along the outside edge of the muzzle on the face and along the outside edge of the muzzle with a back to back shade Light Cinnamon. The ear is shaded along the bottom Light Cinnamon. Go over all of this Burnt Umber. The ear is lined toward the center Light Cinnamon. The girl bear’s arm is shaded along the right side of the hand and arm Light Cinnamon. Go over all of this Burnt Umber. Pounce the edge on the left side of the boy bear’s head, along the left side of the ear and the left side of the muzzle Butter Milk. Then go over all of this a brush mix of Butter Milk and Light Butter Milk. Then just straight Light Butter Milk. If you have lost some of the darker colors in all this pouncing go back from the shades with some Light Cinnamon and then a brush mix of Desert Sand and Burnt Umber. The ear is pounced along the shading on the inside of the ear Butter Milk, then a brush mix of Butter Milk and Light Butter Milk. Then just Light Butter Milk. The boy bear’s hand is pounced on the left side along the main section of the hand and along the thumb Butter Milk. Go over this a brush mix of Butter Milk and Light Butter Milk. Then straight Light Butter Milk. The girl bear is pounced along the front of the head, ear and muzzle Butter Milk. Pounce over this a brush mix Butter Milk and Light Butter Milk. Then straight Light Butter Milk. The ear is pounced along the inside section of the ear Butter Milk. Then a brush mix of Butter Milk and Light Butter Milk. Going over this with straight Light Butter Milk. Pounce the left side of the girl bear’s hand, arm and along the thumb Butter Milk. Go over this with a brush mix of Butter Milk and Light Butter Milk. Then lastly straight Light Butter Milk. The nose… Line from the bottom up White. Highlight the top White. Dot White. Girl’s cheek… Dry brush the cheek Deep Burgundy. Mouths… Line the mouth Black. Eyes… Base the eyes Black. Highlight the from 12 o’clock to 3 o’clock White. Then highlight from 9 o’clock to 6 o’clock White. Dot the eyes between 12 o’clock and 3 o’clock. The girl’s eyelashes are lined Black. Words…Line the words Deep Burgundy.

Finishing: Varnish with a couple of coats sanding between with some supper film.
