GradingsThe Harmony grading gives a calm overall picture, accentuated by occasional knots. Country is vibrant and expressive – healthy knots and brown heart portions assist the balanced variants of the colour tones. The puttied cracks, joints and distinctive knots of the Alpine grading temperamentally stage the impulsive play of colours.

Our conifer woods are graded as Standard and Rustic. Here the scope for action moves from the quiet natural image of the wood to the traditional rustic look.

Surface finishesStructure, liveliness and depth: the surface refinements from tilo set standards in interior de-sign. Romantically playful, cool urban or classically sophisticated – you determine the accents and develop new perspectives for your interior.

From ‚planed‘, looking like it has come directly from the carpenters to ‚brushed‘, ‚structured‘ and ‚sanded‘ – tilo surface finishes bring wood to life – you need to see, feel and experience it.

The axe split surface design looks as if it has been created with axes and finally processed with hatchets. Alto has irregular saw marks, deep brushings, indentations and signs of use. With alto dovetail a charming detail is added: the dovetail. This ancient joining method stands for skilled workmanship.

Natural raw materialThe bark of the cork oak is a natural, organic material that is durable and creates a warm and pleasant ambiance. The cork oak grows around the Western Mediterranean. The bark of the cork oak can be harmlessly harvested by peeling it off the tree every 9 to 15 years. This process is done as gently as possible as cork oaks, especially in the cork regions of Portugal and Spain, are one of the most precious agricultural resources. The cork oak is the main tree in the complex, species-rich ecosystems of its natural habitat, the preservation of which is guaranteed by using the tree.

Cork is a natural productCork is a high-quality natural flooring material. Deviations of colour are quite natural and cannot be avoided. Linoleum floors

Natural raw materialLinoleum was developed in the 19th century and consists primarily of natural oils, natural resins and organic and anorganic filling agents (mainly cork and wood flour). The benefits of this classic flooring material for the environment and home comfort are evident: long tried and tested and with a tilo pattern, our linoleum flooring is made for a modern lifestyle.

Yellow castOwing to the natural oils contained in linoleum, this floor covering will change its colour under the influence of sunlight. Depending on the intensity of sunlight the slight yellow cast called also ‘drying room yellow’ that exists when the planks are first taken out of the carton will soon recede and your floor will get its final colour. The raw materials of the tilo linoleum floor are predominantly natural. The yellow cast is a sign of this biological origin and inevitable. There may therefore be slight variations in colour and structure between the batches. We also cannot guarantee that the showroom samples will match the planksyou actually buy.
