STAAD.Pro This course will introduce you to the broad range of tools and uses of the STAAD Pro software to analyze and design structures - buildings, bridges, towers, transportation, industrial and utility structures. How long does it take to complete the course? The duration of this course is 60 guided learning hours to complete. Who is this course for? This course is ideal for:

• Those who would like to learn about and be proficient in the different tools used in STAAD.Pro software.

• Anyone who wish to certify their proficiency in using the STAAD.Pro software. • Designers and engineers who are migrating from another structural software to

STAAD.Pro.

What topics does the course cover? This course will cover the following topics:

• Complete object-oriented intuitive 2D/3D graphic model generation. • Use pull down menus, floating toolbars, tool tip help • Carry out flexible zoom and multiple views • Have isometric and perspective views and 30 shapes • Use built-in command file editor and simple command language

• Generate graphics/text input • Be efficient in algorithm that minimizes disk space requirements • Take presentation quality printer plots of geometry and results as part of run output • Perform accurate and numerically efficient plate/shell element incorporating out-of-

plane shear and in-plane rotation; automatic element mesh generation; comprehensive element stress output including in-plane stresses, out-of-plane shear, bending and principal stresses at nodal as well as user specified points

• Achieve user specified design parameters to customize design • Perform code check, member selection and optimized member selection consisting

of analysis/design cycles. • Design concrete beams/columns/slabs/footings as per all major international codes

How is it assessed? You will have an end of course assessment through a project-based examination from CADD Centre using STAAD.Pro software. The passing score for this assessment is 60%.

Do I need any prior qualifications to start this course? There are no formal requirements to join this course. Learners taking this course are preferably with functional capabilities to operate computers with basic knowledge of application software e.g. Microsoft office and have a working knowledge in drafting, design and/or engineering principles.

I completed and received my certification, what happens next? Upon accomplishing our STAAD.Pro software training, learners may choose to learn or validate their skills in CAD or BIM software through our CADD Centre and Autodesk Certified User Courses.
