What is a four Arm Drone?

It is a device that can be used for entertainment purposes, spying purposes,

and commercial purposes.

Statement of Problem

The goal of the project was to demonstrate how to design a four arm

drone.

Meeting the specifications.

Applied stress should be reasonable with respect to the yield strength, and

deflection should be as less as possible.

Design Objective Designing the structure of a four arm drone, but performing the FEA study

on only one arm

Weight of whole device = 1000g

Approximating the weight of the battery, motor, and other the components.

Scaling of dimensions.

1 cm on the print out of the four arm drones equals 2.4 cm as an actual

measurement.

Methodology

The applied load at the end of the arm drone was 4.5G (four and half times

the gravitational force)

The applied load would be 250 grams x 4.5 = 1125 grams.

1125 grams x = 11.025 N

Installed BoltsEach one of the bolts that were installed had the

following specifications:

Torque = 0.05 N.m

Bolt Strength = 620422000 N/m^2

Safety Factor = 2

Friction Factor = 0.2

Head Diameter = 4.5 mm

Nut Diameter = 3 mm

Thread Size = 0.5 mm

Conclusion A four arm drone can be used for entertainment purposes, spying purposes,

and commercial purposes

An arm drone should always meet the specifications.

The applied stress should be reasonable with respect to the yield strength,

and the deflection should be as less as possible

The design team was able to design a relatively light arm drone that weighs

31 grams
