Design, craft, and social impact. A collection of handcrafted rugs, designed in collaboration with nanimarquina, are inspired by innovative patterns — some found in nature, others drawn from or found in textile weaving — and refl ects the Coalesse color point of view. The globally exclusive collection includes six designs in various techniques including hand-tufted, hand-loomed dhurrie, and outdoor rugs.

Together with Care & Fair, nanimarquina is supporting artisans and their families through education and access to health programs.

Social impact. Each rug bears the Care & Fair label on the back — an organization dedicated to improving living standards and education for artisans and their families.

Each rug is handcrafted. Rug color may vary slightly and rug size up to 5% because of its nature as a handcrafted product.

Rug care instructions are included on the label on the backside of every rug.

Product Details

Fringe

Several rugs have been designed with fringe detail. If fringe is not preferred, rugs can be specifi ed with bound edges. This applies to patch, diagonal, and mesh rugs.

Hand-tufted

Traditional tools and tech-niques are employed to create hand-tufted rugs using 100% new wool. Hand-tufted rugs have cotton fabric base with latex layer to hold the yarn in place. The yarn is cut and shaved to an equal height by skilled artisans.

Basket, shadows, and strokes are hand-tufted rugs.

Hand-loomed

An artisanal fl at-weave, patch is a dhurrie with individual pieces that have been hand-loomed, individually dyed, and stitched together by hand. Patch rugs are crafted from 100% hand-spun wool to give the rug a distinctive variegated color.

Fringe and stitch detail are specifi c to each colorway. Fringe is 31/2” and extends overall size. Bound edges can be specifi ed, if preferred.

Rug pad is required with this rug.

Outdoor

Using traditional hand-loomed dhurrie technique and replac-ing natural fi bers with 100% recycled PET fi ber give rugs the look and feel of indoor pieces with outdoor resistance.

Fringe detail is 23/4” and extends overall size. Bound edges can be specifi ed, if pre-ferred.

Diagonal and mesh are out-door rugs.

Handcrafted

All rugs are handcrafted by artisans in India using tra-ditional tools and techniques. There may be small variations in size, 5%. Artisanal dye meth-ods are used and may lead to slight chromatic variations.

Custom sizes can be supported through Specials.
