Southern Tier Live Beer is made by creating a liquid rich with

fermentable material. This ‘wort’ is moved to a fermentation vessel where yeast, a living

organism, is added. Yeast swims around the fermenter gobbling up the soluble sugar and

converting that energy into alcohol. Imagine the feeding frenzy of millions of tiny yeast cells eating

their way around a big fermenter. It’s a volatile and active environment. During this time, the beer is literally alive. Just prior to packaging, we add a

little yeast to the clear beer for a secondary fermentation. This helps to add carbonation,

remove oxygen, and prolong shelf life. 5.5% ABV

EuroTrash Pils This beer may have a cheeky name, but don’t be fooled; it is modeled after fine European pilsners to be light and crisp. Aromatic Noble hop varieties, 2-row malted barley and European style pilsner malt contribute to this pale beer’s smooth character. 5.2% ABV

2XSTEAM

Keeping in the tradition of the 19th century California brewers, we use a lager yeast to ferment

2xSteam. Historically, this style is feremented at higher temperatures than a typical lager and that is

just how we.’re brewing our version. The birth California Common style is rooted in the Victorian age. We use the technology of today to replicate

what may have been, like the steampunks. Of course we have to twist things up a bit while we.’re

at it. As is with our 2x line of beers, 2xSteam is turned up a few clicks to be over 8% abv. An

unusual take on an unusual style. 8.0% ABV

2XRYE Double Rye ale brewed for the fall.

2XMAS 2XMAS is a double spiced ale brewed in the tradition of Swedish Glögg. 2XMas

Pale Ale There’s no wonder why our Pale Ale is so popular—it is skillfully crafted in the style of the Kolsch beers of Cologne, Germany. We’ve chosen German hops for aroma, and rounded out the recipe with a blend of American and German malts. While it is very much like a Pilsner, our Pale Ale is fermented at ale temperatures, giving it a subdued fruitiness—a perfect compliment to the crispness of the wheat and maltiness of the Munich malt. If you like a lighter brew but also like the complexity of craft beers, then our Pale Ale is for you. 4.6% ABV - 23 IBUs

Sculpin IPA The Sculpin is a testament to our humble beginnings as Home Brew Mart. It showcases bright flavors and aromas of apricot, peach, mango & lemon. The lighter body also brings out the crispness of the hops. This delicious Ballast Point Ale won a gold medal at the World Beer Cup 2010 in the International Pale Ale category. The Sculpin fish has poisonous spikes on it’s fins that can give a strong sting. Ironically, the meat from a Sculpin is considered some of the tastiest. Something that has a sting but tastes great, sounds like a Ballast Point India Pale Ale.

Big Eye IPA If you have fallen for the IPA style like we have, Big Eye will be a welcome addition to your repertoire. You’ll revel in Big Eye’s bitter, hoppy flavor thanks to the American Columbus and Centennial hops that are used to flavor and dry hop our flagship IPA. We thank our hops every day that the English loved their bitters—or else the IPA style may not have been born to help the beer survive the journey from Cape Hope to India back in the 18th century.

Monk’s Café Flemish Sour Ale The Flemish Burgundy of the Van Steenberge brewery is an OLD BROWN in style, aged in oak, and is one of the oldest brews made by the brewery, at least brewed for over 300 years. Tom Peters knew the beer since long, but had always trouble to find some bottles, even in Belgium. Indeed, the beer is only brewed once a year. A final tasting of a whole line of Belgian Old Browns in the Brugs Beertje bar (Brugge) tilted the decision: this is the best Old brown ale in the world! And Tom went to the brewery to see Mr. Paul Van Steenberge and Mr. Jef Versele, the owners of the brewery.

Petrus Aged Pale – Sour Ale Petrus Aged Pale begins as a hoppy golden ale, and then is aged for 24-30 months in large oak vats which contain souring cultures. The end result is a deep golden ale with aromas of unripe stone fruit, oak, and white wine. It is noticeably acidic and finishes with a round, dry tartness. This is an exceptional Flemish sour ale. 7.3% ABV Available in 750ml bottles or 11.2oz bottles

Petrus Oud Bruin Dark ruby red, as red wine. The style is also called the Burgundy of Flanders, and is a very typical and common beer in West Flanders. A sour-sweet balance is discovered, set off by the underlying bitterness of the hops. Light in alcohol, the alcohol doesn’t hide or overpower the exciting flavors and tastes in this unique beer. Although cold serving is recommended, taking your time to drink it will release more aromas and exciting wooden flavors towards the end of your glass. Wooden flavors?
