Alan Coffey - Principal
Welcome A special welcome to 3 more students who are part of the College learning community. We welcome these new students to our school community and encourage them to make the most of the opportunities the College provides. Mr Dally’s Year 2/3 Oliver and Tarhlee Years 7/8 Jeremy School Leadership The Investiture of the 2015 Student Leaders was held this morning. Congratulations to the Senior College Captain, Josh Anderson, and to our Junior College Captains, Christine Kirk and Riley Gordon. After the speech at assembly last week and the students and staff voting for their preferred Junior College Captain, both Christine and Riley had the same number of votes. Both students have different skills and qualities and it was decided that both students would be valuable representatives of the College and had the support of students and staff. Congratulations to all of the other students who received leadership positions in a variety of important roles. It is inspiring to see so many students eager to take on the various leadership positions within our school community. School Council Election If you would like to become a School Councillor, information regarding the election process will be contained in next week’s newsletter. I would like to thank our outgoing School Council members, Peter Grech, Eliza Ogden, Lesley Brown,(Co-opted Community Members) Sharon Young, Narelle Uren, Gary Poole (Parent Members) and Zac Gellie (DET Member), for their dedication and commitment to promoting and improving our school during their time on School Council. I would also like to encourage them to nominate for a position in the 2015 School Council to continue the important work we are doing. This year we have 4 positions vacant in the Parent Member category and 1 position vacant for the Department of Education and Training category.
