The camera eliminates the need for a two-door gate-waywhichisreplacedbyaleading-edgesingle-doordesign.Asaresult,anysupervisingoroperatingstaffnearbybecomesunnecessary.

DERMALOGoffersthecustomertoselectabiometric gateequippedexclusivelywithfacerecognition.However,thegateisalsoavailablewithanintegratedfingerprintidentificationsystemonly.TheDERMALOG Gatefeaturesamultipurpose1:n(one - to - many)facerecognition / fingerprintidentification.Itaccom- plishesmorethan100,000,000matchespersecond whichistheworld‘sfastestAFIScodingandmatching system.

Bothsystemsareavailableuponrequestinacom-binedversionallowingforthefastestpossiblesinglepassengercontrolonthemarket.Thereby,passengerprocessingisnotonlymadefarmoresecurebutalsofaster,convenientandlesslabor-intensive.

Theintegratedfrontscannerallowsforfastreadoutofnumerousdocumentslikepassports,electronicpas-sports,IDcards,eIDCards,flighttickets,barcodes and two-dimensional barcodes.

Additionalbenefitsarethereductionofdefaultproba-bilityofmechanicalpartsbyaboutahalf.Downtimesandmaintenanceeffortsarereducedto50%whilehighsecuritylevelsarenotcompromisedatall.Thetotalcostsoftheinstallationaredecreasedbyupto30%.

Inordertoenhanceandimproveimprovefasterclearanceatairports,DERMALOGhasequippedtheSultanate’sbordercontrole-gatesbynetworkingbordercontrolsystems,passportidentificationandIDcardsystems.Furthersystemswillfollow.

TheperformanceoftheinstalledBiometricGateshassubstantiallybeenimprovedbynewonboardcame-rasoperatingwith3Dtechnology.Theirmainbenefitconsistsinafullyautomatedandhighlysecurean-ti-tailgatingsingledoorsysteminacompactall-in-onedesign.Usuallyatwo-doorsystemisneededtoensuretheauthenticationofeverysinglepersonenteringorleavingthecountry.

Bruneihasbeentheworld’sfirststatetointroduceabiometricidentificationcardwithfingerprintidentifi-cation,theBruneiSmartIdentityCard.DERMALOGalsoprovidedtheCentralAutomatedFingerprintIdentifi-cationSystem(AFIS)foridentificationandverifica-tionpurposes.TheDERMALOGAFISfortheNationalfingerprintdatabasehasacontractualcapacityof600,000records.

DERMALOGhasalsoprovidedthelivescannersandperipheralhardwarefortheAFISandtheirintegrationwithinthesystem.TheAFISwentfullyliveinJuly2000.FortheissuanceoftheBruneie-passporttheapplicants’tenfingerprintsarecaputredduringenroll-ment.In2008DERMALOGalsoprovidedthebiometric

gatesystemforBruneiwhichcanbeusedbythecitizensofBruneiholdingtheBruneiSmartIdentityCardandcitizensofMalaysiaholdingtheMalaysiane-IDcard.

EversincethedeploymentofthisnewbordercontrolsolutionithasbeenimpossibleforimpostorstoenterBruneibyusingdifferentidentities.
