Hair

· Identify the suspected area of the dermatophytosis on the hairs/scalp (� g 7).

· Collect max 10 hairs by cutting approximately 2 cm from the hairline followed by plucking them (with follicle) using a tweezer (� g 7a).

· Example of hair sample (� g 8).

· Transfer max 10 hairs to a collection tube. Also transfer skin scrapings around the suspected hair follicles (� g 9).
