International Student-Run Conference
Model United Nations of Nyborg (MUNNY) was first brought to life in 2010, when the first annual session was held, and has grown ever since. Now, MUNNY is one of the leading MUN conferences in Denmark, and has been expanding and growing every year, as we aim to welcome over 300 participants to Nyborg Gymnasium, in January 2019, to our ninth annual MUNNY conference.
MUNNY 2018 brought together students from more than 6 different countries and started off with empathic speeches demonstrating a collective political responsibility. The students were passionately debating across five committees of the general assembly plenary and four special plenaries, with the true spirit of MUNNY, already on the second day of our conference. During our social events we brought the students together, whether it was a shared laugh during stand-up comedy or common fascination for interactive stage hypnosis, unifying the multicultural environment. What we provide at MUNNY is an unforgettable experience - political insight, strong empathy, shared responsibility with emphasis on unity.
The past years, there have been many prominent and applicable guest speakers at our conferences. Last year, at MUNNY 2018, we had the pleasure of an inspirational speech by the highly regarded Mogens Lykketoft, President of the United Nations General Assembly. He spoke of many relevant issues pointedly regarding the Sustainable Development Goals. For MUNNY 2019, we are excited to be hosting some even equally, if not more, inspiring and insightful guest speakers.
