Outline of Program: School of Computer Sciences and Applications, School of Law and

CSE Dept (School of Engineering and Technology) has jointly organized an Inaugural Event of

"SUN Cyber Security Club" - a Nashik Police Public Partnership program, on 6/10/2017 at

Civil Dept. Seminar Hall, SIEM. A team of 10 members has been formed who will work

dedicatedly to spread awareness of Cyber Security in association with the Nashik Police

Cyber Cell. Guest of today's event was PSI Deepak Desle and Bhushan Deshmukh from Nashik

Police Cyber Cell. The event was organized under the guidance of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor N.

Ramchandran.

Objective of Program: The Objective of formation of this club is to increase students’

awareness of computers and their uses in our daily life, with a view to prepare citizens of

tomorrow who are better suited to deal with information technology. In the modern world

the cyber world is full of vices starting from online fraud cases, Piracy of songs and movies,

Hardware are sold more in the grey market than in the legal form. Software are patched

even before their release. E-mail accounts are being hacked without the slightest knowledge

of the owner. Credit cards are becoming night mares for many. To identify such cases in our

college and friend circle and to solve them with the help of cyber cell police is the main

objective of this club. The Cyber Club members taken a pledge to stop all these activities by

taking cyber security awareness seminars in various schools and colleges.

Output of Program: In the inauguration function of SUN Cyber Security Club PSI Deepak

Ravindra Desle, Police Sub Inspector, Nashik Police Cyber Cell Police Station guided the

students about different cybercrimes and what precautions should be taken to avoid the

cybercrimes. Student session was there to share experiences and to pose and discuss

problems that the students might be facing in their day to day life.
