1. 15 days Travel Agency Training – Final Years 2. Diploma in Travel and Tourism IATA - Foundation course in

travel and tourism. 90% of students qualified IATA - Second Years

REPORT OF ACTIVITIES

JUNE -05

Department celebrated environmental day by making and selling paper bags

to student and teachers of other departments and contributed the amount to

IPM. Quiz competition was also conducted on the theme “Connecting people

to nature”

Department donated books to Govt .U.P School, Civil station.

Taking Tuition to students of Govt. U.P School by TTM students

JUNE-09

4 students of 2nd year TTM participated in a seminar at Hotel Hyson, Calicut

on the topic “Tourism opportunities in Calicut”.

JULY-14

As part of Heritage club activity, 2nd year students visited Pazhashi Raja

museum and Krishna Menon museum.

JULY-19

Manju and Unnimaya of 2nd year TTM won 1st in Interdepartmental Quiz

competition conducted by Dept.of Commerce.

JULY-28

Speakers of the day Ms.Sheethal, Alumna (Cabin crew, Emirates) and Mr.

Mohan (INTAC, Calicut)

Mrs.Sheethal interacted with the students and gave a motivational talk on

Aviation industry. Mr. Mohan gave a talk on ‘Heritage sites in Calicut’

Celebrated ‘World Tourism Day’ by conducting quiz competition, poster

making competition (INTERDEPARTMENTAL) and cultural programme

Orientation on IATA (Foundation in Travel and Tourism Management) was

given by Mr. Justin (Principal, Speed wings Aviation Academy to students

and parents

One day trip to historic places of Calicut with 1st year students.

(Kappad, Mizhkkal mosque, Jain temple, Pazhassiraja museum, Beypore Uru

building yard)

December 15-18

Conducted a study trip (three day trip) to Wagamon, Ramakkalmedu and

Ernakulam with

Association Inauguration was done by Mr. Mohammad Nihas (Asst.prof&

Head) Govt.college ,Kondotty and delivered a talk on “Sustainable Tourism”.

14 students of TTM participated in the placement drive conducted by

Microtec events (Final years)

First year students went to Gurukulam Orphanage, Peruvayal and

contributed Rs. 3000/-

Students of TT department conducted a fund raising rally on Pain and Palliate

care day.

Class on ‘soft skill training’ by Riya travels

A talk on “Emerging trends in Travel and Tourism Industry by Dr.Dileep

M.R,Associate Prof and Head, Pazhashi Raja college, Pulpally as part of IQAC

Lecture series.

Talk on “Aviation industry in Tourism & New openings” by Mr.Biju, Mr.

Prasanth and Mr. Nobel of speed wings aviation academy

Contributed Rs.15000 to IPM, as part of Fund raising rally conducted on Pain
