1 The Society of American Indian Government Employees (SAIGE) will hold its 16th Annual National Training Program (NTP) on June 10-13 2019 at the Seneca Niagara Resort amp Casino in Niagara Falls NY The theme for this years NTP is Honoring Our Nations Building Strength Through Understanding

2 SAIGE is a national non-profit organization founded in 2001 whose mission is to promote the recruitment retention development and advancement of American Indian and Alaskan Native (AlAN) government employees SAIGEs NTP includes topics on professional development Federal Indian law environmental and natural resources cultural appreciation and a variety of Indian Country Issues

3 The Department of Veterans employees who plan to attend any of the conferences listed in the attachment are responsible for obtaining supervisory approvals Please note that centralized funding is not available for attendance to these conferences Funding for both registration andor travel must come from the employees benefitting program office Following supervisory and budget approval attendees who wish to participate in the conference must also register through the affinity organizations conference Web site at httpssaigeorg
