Our Vision To be recognized internationally for quality education and research in
mechanical engineering with excellence in the fields of design, manufacturingand thermal sciences
Our Mission • To impart quality and value based education to raise satisfaction level of all
stake holders. • To promote research and development activities in the field of mechanical
engineering and allied areas. • To create competent mechanical engineering professionals who are trained in
the fields
Engineering Graduates will be able to: 1. Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems. 2. Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences. 3. Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations. 4. Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions. 5. Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations. 6. Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice. 7. Understand the impact of the professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development. The primary objective was to give a chance to the students to showcase their singing skills. The primary objective was to give a chance to the students to showcase their singing skills. 8. Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of the engineering practice. 9. Function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse teams, and in multidisciplinary settings. 10. Communicate effectively on complex engineering activities with the engineering community and with society at large, such as, being able to comprehend and write effective reports and design documentation, make effective presentations, and give and receive clear instructions. 11. Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the engineering and management principles and apply these to one’s own work, as a member and leader in a team, to manage projects and in multidisciplinary environments. 12.Recognize the need for, and have the preparation and ability to engage in independent and life-long learning in the broadest context of technological change.
Program Outcomes
Engineering Graduates shall 1. Demonstrate industrial practices learned through internship and solve the industrial problem using technical knowhow acquired. 2. Do you fall back into old patterns of
addictive behaviors or do you practice
acceptance and other positive recovery
coping behaviors?
Acceptance involves action through
positive coping strategies such as
affirmations, visualization, journaling
and mindfulness practice.
Another positive approach to change
involves reaching out to a supportive
network of fellows, a counselor, family
and friends.
Their insight and perspective may be
that change required to push you
forward in the right direction.
Remember that changes are a normal
part of life,
It is also amazing how we each have our
own resiliency and ability to recover
from, or adjust easily to, change.
Practice living life with an attitude of
gratitude and embrace change as an
opportunity for continuous renewal
and growth.
We all face changes every day – whether
it is a simple change in the weather, our
schedule or expected change of
seasons.
Change affects us all and we each deal
with change differently. This only
constant in life, the only thing we can
be sure will happen.
To expect change has brought me hope
during challenging or unexpected life
events.
This same thought has also brought fear
in situations where the last thing I
wanted was change. I’ve come to realize
it’s not the circumstances or the
changes that dictate how my life will go,
but rather how I handle those changes
and disruptions. No matter the change
we experience, how we embrace that
change will forever impact how we are
able to live with the change.
What coping strategies do you use to
help you manage unexpected life
changes?
