Logical Puzzle under Aptitude Test Series was conducted by Stu-

dent Association (COESA) in Computer Engineering Department

on 21/07/2012. Students from ST, TE and BE had participated in

this test. Objective of this test was that students should get famil-

iar with the mathematical aptitude and they can able to manage

the time at the time of appearing in campus drives which is usual

activity in college. This aptitude test was coordinated by Mr.

N. Y. Suryawanshi and Mr. Dipak D. Bage.

Aptitude Test-II based on Technical & General Knowledge was

conducted on 28/07/2012. Students from ST, TE and BE of Com-

puter Engineering were participated in this test. The objective of

this event was to improve the technical as well as general

knowledge of students and they should be acquainted with the

current scenario of the surroundings. This event was coordinated

by Mr. N. Y. Suryawanshi, Mr. Dipak D. Bage, Mr. Vijay A.

Kotkar, Miss. Nutan Khadse and Mr. Sushant Bahekar.

Aptitude Test Series: Test-II (Technical & General Knowledge )

Donation Camp by Faculty and Student at Remand Home, Jalgaon

On the auspicious occasion of Independence Day- 2012, Donation Camp for Or-

phan students was organized by Computer Department. Mr. K. P. Adhiya (Head of

Department) hosted this event and it was wholeheartedly supported by Mr. A. T.

Bhole, Mr. Sanjay S. Gharde, Mr. N. Y. Suryawanshi, Mr. Dipak D. Bage, Mr.

Vijay A. Kotkar and TE Computer Engineering students. In this camp, studying

materials such as Note books, Pencils, Sketch Pens, Rubbers etc. were distributed

to the orphan students.

Soft skill training program was conducted on 16/08/12 to

22/08/12 for final year Computer Engineering students. Ex-

perts for this program were called from Synergy, Mumbai.

This event was helpful to the students for forthcoming campus

and career building. The event was coordinated by Mr. Sanjay

S. Gharde and Mr. Sushant Bahekar in association with Train-

ing and Placement Cell of SSBT’s College of Engineering and

Technology, Bambhori.

Donation Camp by Faculty and Student at Remand Home, Jalgaon

Three Week Workshop on “Core JAVA” in two sessions

was organized on 23rd Aug. 2012 to 09 Sept. 2012 in

Computer Engineering department. Expert faculty, Mr.

Pramod Jadhav, Corporate Trainer from Pune, delivered

informative and useful lectures. Also, gave hands on expe-

rience of Core Java programming during the workshop.

The beneficiary of this workshop were third year computer

engineering students. This workshop will be helpful to

them for becoming experts in Java programming and pre-

paring major projects in final of Engineering. Event was

coordinated by Mr. Vijay Ingle and Mr. Manoj Mahajan.

Departmental Events

Project Stage I report writing guidance lecture was con-

ducted by Computer Engineering Department on

22/09/2012 for Final Year students. This lecture was deliv-

ered by Mr. K. P. Adhiya (Head Of Dept.), Mr. Sandip S.

Patil, Mr. Ashish T. Bhole and Mr. Sanjay S. Gharde. The

objective of this lecture is to provide knowledge about pro-

ject report writing.

Project Based Training program for final year students was

held in department during 12/9/2012 to 18/9/2012. For this

training, three experts were called from Stellent Suse, Noida.

They provided knowledge of website development using

Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), HTML, XML, Java Script and

ASP .NET, etc. Also, Students worked on live projects dur-

ing training period. Event was coordinated by Mr. Sanjay S.

Gharde and Mr. Sushant Bahekar.

Computer Department conducted workshop on Android

Operating System on 23/09/2012 and 24/09/201 for

Third Year students. For this workshop experts were

called from Stellent Suse, Noida. In this workshop stu-

dents got knowledge about Adroid technology and its

applications. Also, they taught how to prepare android

applications and upload it on website (youtube).

Seminar on Interview Skill and Carrier

Guidance in software testing was delivered

by Mr. Prashant Bari, Software Engineer ,

Tech Mahindra, Pune on 30/09/2012 for BE

Students. In this seminar students got

knowledge about interview skill which is

always useful for campus interviews.

The Department had also organized Soft Skill Training Program for Second Year students on

30/09/2012 to 02/10/2012 which was conducted by HR members from Synergy Mumbai. The ob-

jective of this program was to build knowledge about English speaking, General awareness, Car-

rier Development etc. required for their future recruitment process.

Also this program was organized for Third Year students on 03/10/2012 to 06/10/2012. The ob-

jective of this program was to build knowledge about Logical Reasoning, Aptitude Test, Inter-

view Skill, etc. so that students prepare for upcoming Campus Interviews.

Meet on 13/10/2012. The main objective of Parent’s Meet

was to know the departmental as well as College level fa-

cilities provided to their ward and also provide the indi-

vidual status of their ward. This meet was coordinated by

Inauguration of News Letter

Launching of “Departmental News Letter”, Issue I, was held at AC seminar hall on

13/10/2012. For this launching event following dignitaries were present: Mr. V. R. Phadnis

(member of LMC), Mr. Sanjay P. Shekhawat (Director of Academic), Mr. Shantanu Vasishtha

(TPO), Mr. K. P. Adhiya (Head of Computer), along with parents. This issue covered the vari-

ous events celebrated or conducted during 1st January 2012 to 31st July 2012. Events incorpo-

rated in this News Letter are industrial visit, student activities, faculty achievements and re-

search. The coordinator of this News Letter publication was Mr. K. P. Adhiya, content Re-

viewer Mr. Sanjay S. Gharde and content organizer Mr. Dipak D. Bage.

Expert Lecture on iOs by Mr. Amol Kale, Corporate

Trainer, Pune

Computer Engineering Department conducted Expert Lecture

on 8/10/12 for SE, TE, and BE students. Mr. Amol Kale

(Corporate Trainer, Pune) delivered lecture on “iOS”. Students

got knowledge about iphone Operating System, number of ap-

plications, user interface, used in mobile as well as Tablet PC

etc. and also the objective of this lecture was, students always

familiar with current technology.

The department of computer Engineering has conducted an expert lecture by an eminent IT person-

ality, Dr. Achyut Godbole on 16/10/2012. The program started with felicitation of Dr. Achyut Godbole by

Prof. K. P. Adhiya, Head, Computer Department. The theme of the expert lecture was “ IT Scenario : Past,

Present & Future”.

Dr. Godbole explained, we should adopt the multidisciplinary approach for the development of our

future. He also explained that we should concentrate more on fundamental knowledge. He concluded, to

succeed in today’s competitive world, we must excel in personality development and communication

skills.

The expert lecture gained overwhelming response. To facilitate huge number of student audience,

the Live Telecast in another seminar hall and Live Webcast on Internet was also arranged, which had tre-

mendous response throughout the campus. The program ended with vote of thanks by co-ordinator Prof.

Ashish T. Bhole. Live telecast was arranged by Prof. Manoj E. Patil.

Industrial Tour/Visit at Infosys Technology Bangalore.

Computer Department had organized Industrial Visit at Renowned IT company, Infosys Technologies,

Mysore on 6/01/2013. Renowned IT Company, Infosys Technologies has built the world's biggest cor-

porate training facility for IT professionals in Mysore. The Rs. 260 crore corporate training centre has

been set up by Infosys, which adds 12,000 employees every year. In this Industrial visit all students

attended SPARK event conducted by HR Team of Infosys. They got knowledge about software devel-

opment phages and whole trainee level information. The whole Industrial visit was coordinated by As-

sociate professor Mr. M.E. Patil along with Mr. Atul Dusane, Mr. Sushant S. Bahekar, Miss Nutan D.

Khadase and Miss Mayuri R. Patil.
