Expert Lecture on “ Software Development Process ”

Computer Department organized Expert Lecture on “ Software Development Process ” on

24/08/2015 for BE-Computer Engineering students. Expert for this lecture was Mr. Rahul Teni, Aus-

tere Technology Solutions Pune . From this Expert Lecture students were aware about Software De-

velopment Process in industry. He demonstrated that the Software development is the process of

computer programming, documenting, testing, and bug fixing involved in creating and maintaining

applications and frameworks involved in a software release life cycle and resulting in a software

product.

The Workshop on “LaTeX” was organized from 05/9/2015 to 06/9/2015 for TE Computer Stu-

dents in Computer Engineering department. This workshop conducted by Mr. S.S. Patil, Computer

Engg. Dept. SSBT’s COET Bambhori, Jalgaon. This workshop was helpful to the students for preparing

their minar project report in LaTeX as well as Major Project in BE. LaTeX is a high-quality typesetting

system; it includes features designed for the production of technical and scientific documentation.

LaTeX is the de facto standard for the communication and publication of scientific documents. LaTeX

is available as free software.

Seminar on “Career Opportunities in Network”

Computer Department organized Seminar on “Career Opportunities in Network” on

23/09/2015 for BE-Computer Engg. students. Expert for this lecture was Mr. Chandan Patil, Kokban

Automation Pvt. Ltd. Pune (Yokgawa Dubai). From this Expert Lecture students were aware about

Computer Networking which is an important career development skill that is worth developing.

Industries across the career spectrum and around the world depend on computer networking to

keep employees connected and business flowing. And these networks need administrators - hard-

working men and women who know their way around a computer and aren't afraid to take a hands-

on approach to troubleshooting. Several types of positions exist in networking like, Network Ad-

ministrator, Network (Systems) Engineer, Network (Service) Technician, Network Programmer/

Analyst, Network/Information Systems Manager.

Industrial Visit

Computer Engineering department organized Industrial visit on 10 Octomber 2015 at Maharashtra State

Poewer Generation Comp. Ltd., Bhusawal Thermal Power Station (BTPS) Deepnagar. Total 125 students of

BE computers visited the plant along with 5 staff members named as D.D.Bage, S.S.Bahekar, S.D.Rajput, C.

T. Baviskar , D. S. Tayade. Mr.V.N.Patil (C.E.BTPS Bhusawal.) addressed the students regarding thermal

power generation and transmission process. Students get knowledge of various sections like Boiler, Coal Han-

dling Plant, Cooling Tower, Transformer, Generator.
