Activity: Awareness about good breast feeding practices & breast cancer

Description: World Breastfeeding Week is celebrated from August 1st To 7th August, all Over The World. The Department Of PSM has organized a breast health check-up camp at Anganwadi, Datta Nagar on the occasion of world breast feeding week. UG students, PG students, teachers, anganwadi staff along with the RHTC staff were present. Dr. Pooja (intern) spoke about steps of breast feeding and benefits for children. Dr. Yogesh gave health talk on breast feeding. All the female patients in that area were benefited. The doctors explained about the hygiene and the awareness about the breast cancer, how to identify the symptoms, what precautions can be taken and the diagnostic tests available were explained as well. Mr Pravin MSW ended this program with vote of thanks. Program was successfully supported by Dr. Preeti, Dr. Kulkarni, Mr. Joseph, Interns, UG students and anganwadi staff.

Venue: PSM/RHTC, Anganwadi Centre, Charoli

Description: Nutrition week was celebrated at Charoli aganwadi on 05/09/2018. Faculty, interns and UG students participated .Our intern doctors Nitya, Riya and Priyanka spoke on the importance of healthy nutrition for mothers & baby. MSWs, Pravin & Savita spoke on benefits of breast feeding and importance of nutrition. Joseph sir gave a health talk on nutrition. Medical officer Dr. Preeti &Dr. Kulkarni were present at the program. Anganwadi supervisor Mr. Adhav spoke on vaccination. MPW, ANM sister & all anganwadi teachers were present at the program. Anganwadi teachers held competition on Nutrition. Various dishes were prepared by Anganwadi Women.

Description: Nutrition month program was conducted at Anganwadi (Khandoba mal, Alandi) on 06/09/2018. Faculty, interns and UG students participated. Anchoring was done by MSW Pravin. Intern Nitya gave health talk on nutrition. Intern Priyanka gave information on breastfeeding. Mr. Joseph spoke on importance of healthy nutrition. MSW Savita showed PPT on malnutrition & its prevention. ANC mothers were given information on healthy nutrition. Vote of thanks was given by MSW Lata Khandare. This way the program was made successful.

Description: Dept. of Community Medicine has conducted health education program on Nutrition at RHTC, Alandi. Faculty, interns and UG students participated. The program was started by Dr. Preeti and introduced about nutrition program. Then Dr. Pranjal (Intern) gave health talk on balance diet. Mr. Joseph spoke about healthy nutrition. Mrs. Savita presented audio visual presentation and it included the following subjects; Malnutrition, ICDS and Balanced diet. Dr. Yogesh gave lecture on prevention of malnutrition and then showed video about the importance of healthy nutrition for ANC/PNC mothers. Mrs. Lata gave vote of thanks. Program was successfully supported by all RHTC staff.

Description: RHTC, Alandi staff has organized the Rabies awareness programme, on the World Rabies Day. Faculty, interns and UG students participated. Dr.Shweta explained the Rabies disease transmission modes, symptoms, diagnosis and treatment in detail. Sister Widhata explained many important points in marathi language. This program was supported fully by the RHTC staff.

Description: RHTC, Alandi staff has organized the awareness program on the World Heart Day on 29-09-2018. Faculty, interns and UG students participated. This program was attended by the LMO Dr. Shweta, (Medical Officer), Dr. Kulkarni, Dr.Charusheela. Dr.Preeti and .Dr.Yogesh explained the causes and symptoms of heart attack. The interns explained the preventive measures of heart attack and the care to be taken to avoid this. Dr. Pooja explained the eating habits and food related precautions to avoid the heart attack. She also explained the importance of the exercises for prevention of heart attack

Description: Dr. D.Y.Patil RHTC was conducted program on Mental health Day. The aim of this programme was to make the society aware about mental diseases . Dr. Preeti gave information about mental health day. Dr. Shivang gave lecture on Mental health. Then Mr. Joseph gave information about psychological disease and how to take care in such cases. Dr. Kulakrni gave health talk on this disease. Mrs. Savita Pandit (MSW),Mr. Pravin (MSW) gave information about mental health day. All interns participate in this program and aware to attended people. This program ended by Mrs. Lata (MSW) vote of thanks. This program was successfully supported by all RHTC staff. More than 100 people attended for this event.

Description: The Program Was organized at RHTC. The Program was started by Dr. Preeti and given introduction about program. Mr. Joseph gave lecture on importance of hand washing , technique & steps of hand washing. The whole session was based on this year theme” Clean hands recipe for health.” The demonstration done by Dr. Kulkarni with people. Mr. Pravin (MSW)ended this program with vote of thanks. Program was successfully conducted with support of all RHTC staff.



Activity : Workshop on Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (Basic level ) for community Date: 23-10-2018

Venue : PSM/RHTC Alandi

Description : CPR awareness program was conducted at RHTC Alandi on 23- 10-18, by Dr. D.Y. Patil Medical College department of emergency medicine and Indian resuscitation council. Theme of the program was “WORLD RESTART A HEART DAY”. Introduction was given by Vidhate sister and all staff of emergency medicine were welcomed by MSWs. Dr. Varsha madam gave detail information on CPR demonstration, All patients present at the program participate in the demonstration. Also all RHTC staff and interns participated in the programme. The programme was guided by Dr. Daniel and Dr. Alok and Emergency medical brother. The demonstration was done on 4 dummies and the audiences and the staff were guided to perform CPR by brothers and Dr. Varsha . Medical officer Dr. Priti, Dr. Kulkarni and Dr. Anil were Present for the programme . All patients and staff were given tea and snacks. Vote of thanks was given by Vidhate sister. In this way the program was made successful. 10 interns, 15 UG Students, were present for this program.



Activity : Awareness program on theme Family and Diabetes on World Diabetes

Day at RHTC Alandi.

Description: World Diabetes Day awareness program was organized in RHTC. This program started by Dr. Kulkarni through this program all the patients were explained about the diabetes day by Dr. Shadab (intern). All these things were described by Dr. Ankit (intern).Then Health talk was also given by Mr. Ingole (MSW) after that Mr. Joseph explained Why does diabetes occur how can diabetes be controlled, what are the food to be eaten all this was explained in a very systematic way and long term complications were also explained. The aim of whole program was based on this year’s theme Family and Diabetes and thus create awareness of the impact that diabetes has on the family and support network of those affected. Promote the role of the family in the management, care, prevention and education of diabetes All the RHTC staff, Medical officer, Interns, Doctors, staff total 70 people were present for the program. This program anchoring by Mr. Rajat (MSW) and gave vote of thank by Mr. Pravin (MSW).



Activity : Awareness program on World AIDS Day -2018: “Know your status”

Description : An AIDS awareness program was conducted an 1st December 2018. It was organized by RHTC staff along with the assistance of Dr D Y Patil nursing college .The following program had included education about HIV its causes spread awareness regarding HIV through plays posters it also educated people about the misconception about HIV & its spread. The session highlighted this year theme “Know your status” and why its is important for an individual to be aware of his status of HIV positivity so that early diagnosis and management may be initiated. Dr. Shweta or Dr. Kulkarni nursing staffs MSW was present. For this program 45 nursing student, 5 interns and 6 faculty members were present.



Activity : Health education session on menstruation for adolescent girls.

Description: Health awareness program was conducted on 27/12/2018 at Muktabai Higher Secondary School, Solu . Headmaster gave a warm welcome to all the health staff from DYPMC.All 8 interns and 2 faculty members gave health talk on menstruation, hygiene, sanitation, nutrition, for adolescent girls. Total 50 girls attended this programme.. This program was successfully supported by all school staff.

Description: Dr. D. Y. Patil Medical College, Hospital and Research Centre, Department of PSM RHTC conducted awareness program on World Leprosy Day. This program was started by Dr. Kulkarni who gave information on leprosy. Dr. Priyanka (intern) gave health talk on leprosy, Dr. Payal (intern) gave lecture on leprosy symptoms, treatment. Mr. Joseph told about leprosy. The program focused on creating awareness so as to reduce stigma, discrimination and prejudice associated with the disease. Last session of this program was discussion with people & doubts clearing. Mr. Pravin (MSW) gave vote of thanks. In the 2nd session students visited Anandgram Society Leprosy Rehabliitaton Centre. Mr. Joseph, 8 Interns & MSW communicated with 40 patients. Then snacks were distributed by interns.

Description: Dr. D. Y. Patil Medical college department of PSM (RHTC) conducted program on World Cancer Day. The aim of this program was to a create awareness in the society, about various cancer. Dr. Kulkarni explained the importance for awareness of cancer & interns presented informative poster on cancer & explained about different types of cancer. Dr. Yogesh gave lecture on prevention of cancer. The program also addressed this year’s theme “ I am, I will” will be addressed and so that community participates to act early and commit to reduce number of deaths due to cancer by early screening and diagnosis. Nursing Students present poster about cancer, Last session of this program was discussion with people & doubts clearing.Mr. Pravin (MSW) gave vote of thanks. This program was successfully supported by all RHTC & Nursing staff & local people. In these program 10 interns, 40 nursing Students, 55 patients participated. Description :Dr. D. Y. Patil Medical college Department of Community Medicine (RHTC) School Blood Group check-up and Health check-up Camp was conducted on 11/2/2019 at Nagarparishad school no. 3 Alandi. In this programmeDr.Amruta explained the importance and benefits of the nutritious food to all the young students. How the healthy food gives nourishment and energy to the body. They also explained the importance of proteins and protein foods like meat and eggs to the students. This programme was very helpful and successful. RHTC Alandi medical team including interns & Ug students provided medical examination and health check up to 56 students.

This program was Started By Dr. Shweta , who gave health Education on nutrition Dr. Sapana explained why nutrition week is celebrated. Mrs. Sativa presented power point presentation on Nutrition, Dr. Joseph Gave information about nutrition week, and malnutrition.Inters gave health talk on deficiency disease. An Interactive Session with Patients on spread & Symptoms of Tuberculosis. In this program Dr. Kulkarni. Dr. Yogesh, Mr. Joseph, Mr. PravinKolhe, Ms. Vidhate All Interns & staff actively participated in The Program. Vote of Thanks was given By Lata Khandare. There were 8 MBBS Students, 15 interns, 63 local peoples presented.

Description :Dr. D. Y. Patil RHTC conducted program on World No tobacco awareness day. A health talk was organized at RHTC on the same occasion. An interactive session was conducted by Dr. Ankit who covered the major health issues caused by consuming tobacco on regular basis. Dr. Ayana (intern) told the audience about the side effect & how to reduce the tobacco consumption. The Power point presentation on the whole topic was presented by Mr. Pravin (MSW) . The Power point presentation covered the whole topic of causes, harmful effects and presentation of the same. The program was successfully supported by all RHTC staff. . Activity: Demonstration of Yoga asana and

Description: On the occasion of The world yoga day,it was celebrated at RHTC Alandi on 21.06.2019. The celebration started as Mr. Joseph gave introduction of yoga day , Dr. Seema (intern) gave lecture on yoga and its benefits in human life and its attachment with Indian culture. Then Dr. Kulkarni and Mrs. Savita (MSW) demonstrated yogasan .MrPravin (MSW) presented Power point presentation on Yoga and its benefits and Yogasan. Mrs. Lata (MSW) gave vote of thanks. This program was directed by Dr. A. Banerjee HOD Dept. of PSM , And coordinated by Dr. Priti, Dr. Kulkarni ,Mr. Joseph all interns, students and RHTC staff. More than 100 people attended the program.



Activity: Health check up and medical services camp on ASHADI WARI – 2019

Date : 22 June to 25/06/2019

Venue : PSM/RHTC, Alandi

Description :The tradition of Ashadhiwari in Maharashtra has been going on for years now. Every year the Maulipalakhi goes in which many people walk miles along with the palakhi.All these pilgrims are called warakari.Many people offer their services, food, shelter to the warkaris. During this wari,Manywarkari can have the medical problems. Every year medical facilities are provided to all workers by RHTC centres. This year, PSM department has organised the Health check up and medical services camp. Many warkaris took the benefit of this camp and many gave their lab tests 247 warkaris on 22 June and to 290warkaris on 23 June. Many warkaris took the benefit of this camp and many gave their lab tests 410 warkaris on 24 June and to 670 warkaris on 25 June. Because of the bare foot walking many warkaris had bruises, swelling and wounds on their legs for which First aid medical services, painkillers were provided immediately. This camp was very useful for the warkaris.

Description: A health check-up Camp for seniors above the age of sixty years was conducted by Dr D.Y.Patil medical college Pimpri Pune on 7th July 2019. Dr SavitaNaiknavare is the founder of Snehadham UrjaKatta which is an organization for senior citizens and conducts many social, medical and recreational activities for elderly. The Camp was organized under the guidance of Bhagyashreetai Patil Madam, Vice Chairperson Dr D.Y. Patil Vidyapeeth Society Pune. Following doctors from Dr D.Y. Patil medical college Pimpri Pune participated in the camp- DrKanitkar- professor Medicine ,DrKhedkar- professor PSM, , Dr Reina Khadilkar professor Surgery,along with doctors from department of Gynaecology, Ophthalmology,ENT,Orthopaedics,Dermatology.A routine health check-up was done including blood pressure, general examination, and examination of eyes, ENT, bones and joints. Breast examination and gynaecology check-up was done for all ladies.Following investigations were done-Haemoglobin, Blood Sugar Random,Bone Densitometry ,ECG.A total number of 73 elders participated in the healthcamp.

Description: Dr. D. Y. Patil Medical college Department of PSM (RHTC) Health check-up Camp was conducted on 11/07/2019 at Koyali village In Anganwadi, there were near about 45 Students who needed medical assistance. Dr. D. Y. Patil medical college, RHTC Alandi medical team including interns provided medical examination and issued necessary medicine to sick Students. After that there was gave health awareness lecture basic hygiene and sanitation, nutrition, mosquito borne diseases and common water borne diseases for Angawadi Teacher, Asha. This Camp was

successfully supported by all Anganwadi staff, Asha worker, local people. 6 interns & students 3 social worker , 1 health inspector,7 anganwadi teachers participated.
