Entry fee: Adult: $6.00 per animal; Youth: Free (Sponsored by AgChoice) Health Rules: 1. Individual official animal identification. Official ID will have a US shield and includes: A USDA-issued National Uniform Eartagging System (NUES) tag; or a 15-digit Animal Identification Number eartag starting with “840”; or other official identification approved by USDA. (Brands and breed registrations with tattoos are not acceptable.) 2. All animals must be free of infectious and contagious diseases and a statement of this is required on the CVI. 3. A Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI) issued after May 1 is required. 4. A current rabies vaccination administered by a licensed veterinarian is recommended for animals 3 months of age and older. A copy of the rabies vaccination certificate is acceptable. Market cattle are exempt from the rabies vaccination requirement. 5. For a list of vaccination requirements for out-of-state animals call the Fair office. General Rules: 1. All livestock must be shown by the exhibitor that it is registered under unless the exhibitor has more than one animal in the class and then one animal must be shown by the registered exhibitor. 2. No market animal may be dual entered as a breeding animal for any species. 5. The Dairy Cattle Registration Form can be found at the back of this book or on the Premium Book page on the web site at www.southmountainfair.com and must be returned to the South Mountain Fair by July 6, no exceptions. 6. All animals must remain on display until 10 p.m. on Saturday, the last day of the Fair.
