Great advantages

HandinessAlveus sink bowls can be up to four centimetres deeper than other products of the sort. The capacity of the sink is thus increased by up to a few litres, which makes the task of washing up large pieces and big amounts of dishes much more comfortable.

The sinks use 70 – 11� mm drain plumbing (depending on the model), which allows quick drainage of large amounts of water.

SturdinessThe Alveus sinks rank among the most durable sinks in the market, as they are manufactured from 18/10 stainless steel up to 1 mm in thickness. The main advantages of thicker steel are greater resistance to impacts, increased tap stability and significantly reduced level of noise from water splash-ing. Selection Guide

When buying a kitchen sink it is recommendable to, consider the following:

Cabinet width – first of all, you must know the dimensions/width of the sink cabinet, which limits your choices.

Our sinks are classified according to the minimum required cabinet width, namely �00, ��0, �00, 600, 800, 900 and 1000 mm, plus 900x900 mm corner cabinet. Smaller kitchen sinks can be accomo-dated by larger cabinets, but never vice versa. For instance, a sink dimensioned to fit a cabinet of �00 mm minimum width can also be installed into any cabinet exceeding the designated size.

Sink orientation – once you have determined the cabinet width, you have to determine the right orientation of the sink on the kitchen counter. You can choose among left-hand, right-hand and reversible sink designs. Most sinks being reversible, you need not to worry about the orientation upon your purchase, as you can turn the sink with drainboard either way according to your needs.

In the next step, you can choose among various materials (stainless steel or composite material), various installation types (inset, flush mount inset, flat mount, undermount or sit-on) and, various sink designs.

Sit-on sinks are installed as top end elements of one or two kitchen cabinets. Their rim measures �0 or �0 mm. Sit-on sinks have a rear wall rim of �0 mm, or in some cases they don´t have it.

Installation types

Alveus sinks are suitable for various installation types, thus adjusting completely to the design and architectural requirements of your kitchen.

Inset sinks are installed into kitchen countertops, thus forming part of the continuous work surface. The sink is inserted into a suitable-size cut-out from the top, and fastened with the supplied clamps. Inset sinks are suitable for countertops measuring from �� to �0 mm in thickness.

Flush mount inset sinks are installed into countertops made ofwaterproof materials (natural stone, composite materials), properly cut to allow the top rim of the sink to be level with the countertop. The advantages of flush mount inset kitchen sinks are seamless work surface, very easy cleaning and attractive appearance.

Flat mount sinks are installed into a countertop so as to create a uniform work surface. Thin, almost unnoticeable rims allow quick and easy cleaning, an additional advantage being simple installa-tion. There are numerous combinations and bowl sizes available.

Undermount bowls are attached from the bottom side of the the countertop, the sink rims thus concealed under the work surface made of natural stone or composite materials. This installation type allows the utilisation of larger dimensions and limitless combina-tions. The absence of sink-to-countertop joints contributes to simple hygiene maintenance and overall appeal of the kitchen.

Accessories

With the right accessories, Alveus sinks turn into complete small kitchens, furnished for the most delicious activities. The majority of sinks have the most important and most interesting accessories included in the basic package, which is clearly marked in this catalogue. The rest of the accessories are available to order.

Drain Traps and Pop-Up Drains

Most sinks come with suitable drain traps in order to facilitate the installation process. Certain sinks are supplied with pop-up drains, which allow automatic operation of the stopper. This comes in handy when you wish to drain water from a full bowl or close the drain without getting your hands wet.

Seals

Most of the sinks are fitted with top-quality Alvoflex seals already attached to the undersides of their outer rims. This allows for more permanent fixation and easier installation, and prevents water from leaking under the sink rim and into the countertop and cabinet.

Overflow

Alveus sinks are designed in a way that the excess water does not remain on the level surfaces, but is drained either through the central drain or overflow. The overflow is an opening on the bowl wall or drainer, which prevents water from spilling over the sink in case the drain is blocked. The overflow is thus a kind of a safety device in your kitchen.

Sound-Deadening Undercoating

As a contrast to some competing products, all Alveus stainless sinks are serially fitted with special sound-deadening undercoat-ing. This undercoating mitigates the noise from water splashing upon hitting the sink surface, and thus successfully increases the comfort of working and living.

Factory-Made Cut-Outs

Alveus sinks are easy to install, as they are already fitted with cut-outs for taps and eventual accessories (pop-up drain or detergent dispenser). Thus, there is no need to bother with the risky business of cutting out the precisely located holes yourself.


Alveus kitchen sinks are available in several materials, surface finish-es and colours. Apart from the stainless steel sinks in three finishes (satin, linen and microlinen), our offer includes selected models from high-quality composite material Algranit. Top-Quality Materials

Surface finishes

The difference between the finishes is mainly reflected in the ap-pearance and partly in the scratch resistance. While the SATIN finish produces a polished, easy-to-clean stainless steel surface the LEINEN and MICROLEINEN finishes produce a matte texture, which is less sensitive to tiny scratches, but requires a bit more care. The techni-cal characteristics of the basic material are the same in all varieties; however, certain sinks are not always available in all three finishes.

Satin Leinen Microleinen

The main characteristics and advantages of 18/10 stainless steel are:

• Easy cleaning which ensures a high level of hygiene• Resistance to high temperatures and rapid temperature changes (thermal shock)• Resistance to impacts• Resistance to chemical influences• 100 % recyclability

The stainless steel (CrNi) thickness ranges from 0.� mm to 1.0 mm, depending on the price range of the sink.

Colour range

The Algranit material is available in a wide range of colours, some of which are added a metallic lustre. The colour will not fade with time, as the material is not sensitive to UV rays.

Kitchen sinks from the newly developed composite material ALGRANIT contain 70 % of granite particles bonded together by high-quality polymer resin to achieve excellent sturdiness and resistance to temperatures up to �80°C.

The sinks boast excellent resistance to scratches and im-pacts, while their polished surface ensures easy cleaning; dirt, stains, scale and even accidentally spilt chemicals can be removed effortlessly.

Increased material sturdiness and cleaning in accordance with the instructions guarantee a long service life to these sinks.

The products united under the Alveus brand are first-rate products in terms of quality, manufacture, materials and design. Since the sinks are made of various materials with specific characteristics, care and maintenance must be adjusted accordingly. Every sink is supplied with care and maintenance instructions. Following the recommendations stated, you will ensure a long service life to your Alveus kitchen products.

Care and Maintenance

Stainless steel sinks and hob units

Soft cloths and liquid household cleaners should be used for cleaning. Avoid silver cleaner, steel wool pads, bleach or abrasive detergents. Do not deposit unprotected metal objects onto the stainless steel parts.

Should stainless steel come into contact with strong acids, flush it immediately with a large amount of water. To avoid staining, do not leave food or corrosive substances (e.g. fruit juice, kitchen salt, vinegar, mustard, mayonnaise etc.) on stainless steel surfaces for longer period of time. We recom-mend that stainless steel products be wiped with a dry soft cloth after use to prevent scale formation.

Composite sinks

Most stains and dirt can be removed with mild liquid nonabrasive household cleaners or ammoniac-based de-tergents. More resistant stains can be removed with bleach (�0/�0 bleach/water solution) and mild polish, while lime stains with 9 % acetic acid.

Chlorine detergents (soda hypochlorite) or hydrochloric acids as well as exposure to strong chemicals (varnish re-movers, oven cleaners, concentrated acids, lye and similar) can damage the sink finish. Should the contact occur, rinse quickly the surface with water. Cut on cutting boards and not directly on sink surfaces, as you might accidentally damage the finish.

Kitchen taps

Soft cloths and household liquid cleaners should be used for cleaning Alveus kitchen taps. Should scale build up on the tap, remove it with 9 % acetic acid.

Silver cleaners, steel wool pads, bleach or abrasive deter-gents can damage the tap finish, so they should be avoided. Chlorine detergents (soda hypochlorite) or hydrochloric acid can have a similar effect.

Cooker hoods

Soft cloths and household liquid cleaners should be used for cleaning outer surfaces. Silver cleaner, steel wool pads, bleach, abrasive detergents and other aggressive chemi-cals might damage them. Regular filter maintenance and replacement is recommended; filters differ by hood model.

Grease filters are made from multi-layer aluminium mesh. Washing by hand or in a dishwasher is required every two months on average. If properly maintained, their service life is about three years. On average, synthetic filters require replacement every two months and charcoal filters every three months.

Crystalix sinks are available in three different models and two glass colours – white and black. They are manufactured from premium stainless steel of above-average thickness and 10 mm thick tempered glass. Their basic characteristic is small radiuses (10 mm); in combination with a �00 mm bowl depth, these provide a significantly increased sink bowl capacity. Tempered glass improves

Combining various accessory items is easy and can be completely adjusted to your needs. You can choose among nine different models. Some of the models are marked with a plus (+) indicating increased small bowl depth, while others are marked FS, which indicates the flush mount inset and flat mount types and hence somewhat deeper bowls. Line sinks are made of qual-ity stainless steel and come in the satin(SAT), leinen (LEI) and microleinen (MICROLEINEN) surface finishes.

Line is the basic design element, symbolising the movement of water.

All accessory items can be used on the big as well as the small bowl, which is a refreshing novelty.

The large cutting boards slide smoothly across the bowl and drainer surfaces even with strainer bowl inserted in the bowls.

Detergent dispensers mount easily onto kitchen sinks. They fit all kinds of countertops (up to 6 cm) and can accommodate 0.5 liters of washing up liquid. The dispenser is designed for comfortable use, allowing one-handed operation. When the pump is pushed, the desired amount of deter-gent is released onto the sponge. The dispenser can be filled either with washing-up liquid or liquid soap. The dispenser is mounted directly from the top side of the sink and can be pulled out at any time to check the amount of soap through the transparent container and refill it if necessary.

Alveus kitchen taps are technologically sophisticated and come in various shapes to complement traditional as well as trendy kitchens.

The numerous varieties with regard to installation, operation and colour allow an abundance of combinations.
