Dentinogenic concept

Introduced by John P. Frush and Roland D. FisherSex, age and personality determine the form of tooth. The qualities of feminity, masculinity, personality and various physiological ages will be revealed in the smile.The secondary factors of the dentinogenic restoration such as tooth position, denture matrix are called as dynesthetics. The dentinogenic procedure is the application of the dynesthetics by the dentist in the sequence of esthetic planning and are accordingly to the sex, personality and age.

Young teeth have a bluish incisal edge due to light transmission through both layers of enamel. The body of a younger tooth is usually a solid and opaque color with very little or no color texture.

proportionate to the age But this not mean that darker tooth for

older individual. Physiologic shade selection: A person

who does not smoke and who takes foods of slight pigmentation may continue to have a relatively light tooth body together with normal color texture.
