PRAYER LETTER (July-September 2014)

Dear Friend:

It has been a wonderful first semester of the BibleSchool, and we also entered the world of ChristianEducation with our Pre-schoolwhich already has eightchildren enrolled.

Our campusministries have becom e a greattool for g etting the gospel tocollege students. One of theyoung m en who was my studentin high school is now a collegestudent downtown, I am prayingfor his continued growth as we

are having a Bible Study with hiswhole family every week. Hisname is Al John and his fatherwho is recently saved is named Joel.Please, pray for the Ardiente Family asthey grow spiritually. They live up in themountains of Budla-an, and are verygenerous people. They even give me abag of mangoes every time I have a Biblestudy up th ere in there mountainvillage.

You may remember the family who was saved fromour Bible Study in the m ountain village of Panoypoy. Last yearthey named their baby boy after me, which is a great honor.This year, they have allowed their daughter t o g et baptized in

the church. Pray for this couple and the children, the name ofthe couple is Darwin and Jocelyn.

Our truck which we u sed during the ty phoon r elieflast year is running well, and we are using it every Sunday topick up people in the m ountains. A r egular car will not make itto their place, but a 4x4 or strong diesel truck will. God has

been good! One of the converts there recently wrote me a letterthanking me for caring for their souls. To God be the glory!By the time y ou read this letter our Student Center should bewell under-way. I am praying that college students would bewon to Christ and added to the church. There are thousands of

college students and over 20 colleges in our city.The college students here are a mission field sub-culture in themselves. I recall how missionary BobHughes, who was the pioneering missionary tothis island, led a young college student to the Lordin the 60s, he then led another y oung collegestudents to the Lord in the 70s and that collegestudent became a pastor and led my m other tothe Lord in the late 70s. I believe w ith all myheart that reaching the college students is alasting ministry that will yield fruit for years to come and rewards for all eternity.

Pray also for a college student namedDave. He is a very kind y oung man, and has

many questions regarding his salvation. I feel that heis ready to receive Christ, but please pray for him. Hehas been my tour guide showing me hidden villagesall over the mountains as we conv oy on dirt bikes. Iam expecting God to do something great with his li fe.(Dave is Pictured bottom left)
