Tim Worledge, Editor, Middle Distillates, European Marketscan, Platts Mike Davis, Director, Market Development, ICE Futures Europe Prof Dr-Ing. Christian KĂźchen, President, EUROFUEL - European

Heating Oil Association

Roundtable 2: Overcoming challenges related to diesel and motor fuels

• Diesel trade flow challenges and quality• Addressing remaining challenges to develop future fuels

Three tumultuous years on from the onset of recession and Europe’s middle distillate markets have begun to show signs of recovery with improving demand most obvious in a resurgent jet fuel market. However, sustained high outright prices have undoubtedly proved a challenge to that recovery, testing the resilience of some of Europe’s more fragile economies and highlighting the patchy nature of recovery, both within the continent and across the globe.

Against that backdrop, Platts is holding its 2nd Annual Middle Distillates conference in Hamburg this November, with the conference offering an unrivalled opportunity to discuss the issues facing the community.

Key topics occupying the middle distillate markets through 2011 include the influence of gasoil future contracts, the resurgence of jet fuels and subsequent pricing methodology, further refining upgrades and regulatory changes and incentives.

Platts 2nd Annual Middle Distillates conference will offer all attendees a unique mix of industry leading presentations, frank and open roundtable discussions as well as dedicated and structured networking opportunities which this year include breakfast meetings and evening drinks reception. The event will also offer a complimentary Platts Middle Distillates Pricing Methodology Forum at the end of day two to all participants of the conference.

The event acts as an annual opportunity for the middle distillates community to hear from peers in the industry and discover how the leading organisations in the sector are reshaping their goals and strategies to deal with this competitive market’s challenges.

Book today and benefit from early bird and group booking discounts!
