By the time this is read CAR -

and gone. Thank You to all of those
who attended and showed their
support at both State and Local level
for the Real Estate
Industry.
At the time of this
writing we are
anticipating close to
40 DAR Members
attending. This may
be the biggest turnout
of all time for DAR.
Great to see the membership involved.
Remember, it is your
Association!
In the June Currents I will report on the
Issues and accomplishments of the
State Meetings in Sacramento. I will
also be traveling to Washington D.C.
later in May for the National Association
of REALTORS® meetings and will pass
that information on to the membership
as well. We will continue to keep you
informed ofthe progress we are making
in passing and preventing legislation
that can impact our industry.
On a different note, the Board of
Directors would appreciate hearing from
you as to what you feel is of
importance for membership value
from the Association. Remember,

projects we are
currently working on

their goals. As they begin to come

get their input.
If there is a specific want or need that
you feel needs to be filled, please
let us know and we can research
the feasibility of it. I think we have
some good things in the pipeline
and can’t wait to share them with the
Membership!

Delta REALTORS® Community Service Foundation 18th Annual Bowling Tournament was held on April 29, 2013 at the Harvest Bowl in Brentwood. There were thirty-one teams of four bowlers each; most were outfitted in unique bowling shirts created especially for this major foundation fundraiser.
Recognizing the value that our community service programs have both in providing help where needed and in reminding consumers how our industry is involved in quality of life issues, sponsors made donations for the raffle, helping to assure a successful event.
Winning teams: First Place went to Team 2 - Randy, Kerr, Jeff Brook, Sheri Hazen and Scott Hazen. Second Place went to team 27 - Bryan Hogge, Leeann Hogge, Darrell Hanson and Jerry Nicolaisen. Third place went to Team 20 - Prudential California Realty, Gretchen Pearson, Jeff Mears, Nancy Valverde and Jerrod Williams. For the men Darrell Hanson took scratch series and Jay Arnold scratch game. For the women Sheri Hazen scratch series and Gretchen Pearson scratch game. The winning team for the shirt contest was a tie between Security Pacific, Get ‘N Lucky, and Dolls with Balls.
Andy Perry with Old Republic Title and Sue Ramsdell ran lane to lane selling raffle tickets and 50/50 tickets. A special thank you to Cathleen Griebling for all the hard work putting this event together. Also to Lori Ogorchock with all the calls getting the teams filled. A big thank you to everyone who donated raffle prizes.
This year’s bowling tournament raised over $2800 for the Delta REALTORS® Community Service Foundation. In addition to the bowling tournament the foundation will hold a Harvest Run and have a Rocktoberfest.
The Board of Directors of the Delta REALTORS® Community Service Foundation, under the direction of President Cutis Holzer, meets monthly on the fourth at 8:45am. Every member is invited to participate in the fund raising events and all are welcome to attend the director’s meeting.
