TRANSCRIPT
Arts and history@Istituto degli InnocentiIt has worked over six centuries to help children and families. It was originally established as a hospital for abandoned children and designed by Brunelleschi in the XV century as one of the first renaissance works. Recently the museum has been renovated with new sections of arts
and history. It is definitively worth a visit.

The Venue
It is not a high-tech hall….About 10 years ago, in April 2007, Francesco organized here the SAIt Congress, he liked this historical, central venue.
Why this Venue
Francesco and A. Godoli (the architect of the Villa restoration) @ Istituto degli Innocenti
In 2007 a special talk, and two social events were dedicated to Galileo and Villa Il Gioiello whose restoration was just being completed. Since then Francesco spent some of his time to promote the Villa, for its historical value, and as a gathering place for today’scientists. Prof. Righini has provided a few pages of a book on the Villa (in press and Francesco is a co-author).
Our Social Dinner will be at Il Gioiello on Thursday June 8 Please read info in booklet !
