Dell Self Service for SAP Requisitoners 

 

In ME51N SAP Create Purchase Requisition, click on the Catalog button to enter UBUY.  

Hint:  Open up the Text section so that Header text will copy in from UBUY if you chose to enter it there. 

 

 

 

 

 

Open the Dell Punchout Site in the Campus section of the Shopping Page. This is the UAMS Dell 

Consolidation site, which contains preconfigured options available for purchase from Dell.  

 

 

 

 

 

Open Standard Configuration option.  Note:  This new process will not use Quotes.  Shopping carts will 

be created in UBUY and turned into SAP Requisitions.  The UBuy cart takes the place of the e‐quote. 

 

Select item and Add to Cart.  There are also limited customizing options under Customize and Buy if 

applicable.

 

Either Continue Shopping to add other items to your cart, or Create Order Requisiton.   

DO NOT SAVE as EQUOTE! 

 

Select Continue Securely, then Submit Order Requisition.  This will return your order to UBUY.

Once back to UBUY, Name your cart and Proceed to Checkout. 

 

Fill in your Requisition values here.  All these values can also be entered in SAP.  If you leave funding 

type blank, K will be inserted in your SAP Requisition. Place Order to return to SAP. 

 

Save your requisition.   

If you are unsure of anything or need to check the account assignment, you can Hold the requisition, 

then correct it later using ME52N Change Requisition.  DO NOT BACK OUT OR YOU WILL HAVE TO START 

OVER!

Important Things to Remember: 

1) If you don’t save or hold the SAP Requisition at this point, you will  not be able to use the 

UBUY cart again.  If you are unsure about anything, select the Hold button.  You can then go 

into Change mode and make changes before the requisition goes to the Release step.   

2) Make sure the Header Text says UBUY ORDER EDI so the buyer will know how to process it. 

3) All lines have to originate from the Dell site in UBUY.  YOU CANNOT ADD LINES MANUALLY. 

4) You can never copy Dell requisitions in SAP.  The SAP requisition is tied to the specific 

punchout session where you ordered the items from the Dell site.
