    System architecture and componentsConverged Systems are modular platforms with defined scale points that meet the higher performanceand availability requirements of business-critical applications.

    Architecture

    SAN storage mediums are used for deployments involving large numbers of VMs and users to providethe following features:

    Multi-controller, scale-out architecture with consolidation and efficiency for the enterprise.

    Scaling of resources through common and fully redundant building blocks.

    Local boot disks are optional and available only for bare metal blades.

    Connectivity

    The next generation of Cisco UCS compute and network components with the VxBlock System 40 Gbconnectivity option allow greater bandwidth for Ethernet and F
