DELKOR’S WORKShOP

DELKOR’s manufacturing facility is located and managed under DELKOR India’s Bangalore purview. Bangalore is connected to the rest of the world through a busy international airport and the nearest sea port about 400 km away at Chennai.

The workshops are spread out in the three different industrial sheds in Peenya Industrial Area, situated on Bangalore-Mumbai highway. These workshops mainly produce a variety of solid/liquid separation equipment on regular basis and cater to the indigenous customers and to the market world over.

Three workshops, put together, have 5.946 m² of covered space for fabrication and 7.235 m² of open space for large assemblies and storage.

Our first workshop, known as Unit XI, is a fully covered shed with 2.322 m² of shop floor area and spacious offices for the workshop management staff. It produces fabricated components in carbon steel for DELKOR Horizontal Belt Filters, DELKOR Filter Presses and DELKOR Thickeners & Clarifiers.

The second workshop, known as Unit XII, has a fully covered shed of 2.084 m² and a concreted open space of 734 m² area. Fabrication of large components like flotation cell tanks, thickener feed wells, torque cage, center column and rake arms is carried out in this shop. The open space is used for trial assembly of large compo-nents before painting and dispatch. One bay of the covered shed is fully dedicated to stainless steel fabrication.

The third workshop, called Unit XIII, has an open area of 6.500 m² and a fully covered shed of 1.580 m² which in-cludes a 40 m² grit blasting and painting shop. Rest of the shed is utilized mainly for fabrication, assembly and testing of the thickener drive heads, agitators, attrition scrubbers, linear screens, flotation cell mechanism etc. An open area is used for storage of raw material and finished goods. Final packing and dispatch activities take place from this unit.

These workshops lead the way in terms of QA/QS and SHE inititatives, including but not limited to defined ITP procedures and documentation, SHE committee and universal buy-in for the DELKOR Quality Policy. Qualified and experienced engineers, quality inspectors, technicians and skilled workers on the shop floor ensure consistently manufacture of quality products which meets clients’ scrutiny worldwide.
