Letter from the chair

A leadership position is never easy… People look up to you, people

have expectation from you, but most of all YOU, you want to achieve.

Finishing a planning is not always the step to success, you also need

directions and strategies. An organization like AIESEC has the need for structure

planning, strategies, long term view, but most of all has the need to BE ONE. When the

entity realizes that only as ONE you can achieve, it will be the beginning for more results

and bigger impact in our local and global society.

RELAY ’14 is the opportunity for each one of you to explore new strategies

and to make AIESEC Denmark ONE STRONG ENTITY!

Dearest delegates and conference attendants,

When the small Danish delegation returned from EuroLDS

Bulgaria two months ago, all of us were flashed. Seriously

flashed. Imagine the best Nordic Circle you‘ve ever been to.

Now imagine this experience not to last for two hours, but

for a week. This was EuroLDS. Intensely personal, horizon

expanding, and the first thing I‘d mention if you were to ask

me about a life-changing experience.

Now, what if we could repeat this experience in Denmark?

We in the OC committed to more than just caring for your

well-being – we want to actively contribute to your learning

experience. We saw and believe that the key to a united

AIESEC Denmark lies in creating an aura of openness. An

atmosphere where ideas, reflections and questions are

Letter from the OCP/OC

about what drives us, our hopes and fears, professionally, as personally.

To support this shaping of identity and learning,

expect to face a few new and alternative approaches

at RELAY ‘14. But of course, also expect nothing

but top quality servicing from your OC!

Bring an open mind and heart! See you soon,

Stefan

welcomed; where

we step beyond our

LC comfort-zone to

discover new people,

their opinions and

stories. We believe

in empowering each

other to open up

BarbaraAgenda Manager

What will you take with you from this term?

This term was really different from my other AIESEC terms. This year I learned the most about organisation and about work with people. I realized how different the organization is in different countries. The experience I have got here for sure will benefit in my future career. Additionally I met AIESECers who became my friends and I believe they will stay in my life for a longer time :)

If there was one piece of advice you could give AIESEC Denmark what would it be?

Keep the spirit of sharing and working together what makes AIESEC Denmark so special :)

KareemMCP

Can sadly not be with us :(

The current MCNathali

What will you take with you from this term?

Professional experience, personal development, growing interests in global issues, but most importantly lots of love and friends for life!

If there was one piece of advice you could give

AIESEC Denmark what would it be?

Remember to appreciate the people around you and enjoy your experience - it'll end faster than you think!

Daria

What will you take with you from this term?

I will always keep with me key learnings from the term that helped to grow personally, good moments I had as great memories about the experience I lived and people I met throughout this year who became close friends!

If there was one piece of advice you could give AIESEC

Denmark what would it be?

Live AIESEC, feel it and give your maximum - you will see how much more organization will give back to you!

The MC elect

What characteristic do you value the most in other people?

It is for sure honesty.

What is the thing you are most looking forward to in the coming term?

I am looking forward to seeing how much AIESEC will impact Denmark next term, but also to the challenges to come. I am also looking forward to finally meeting Ena and to spending time with the whole MC team.

What is the thing you would never give up for AIESEC?

I would never give up my family, even though I do spend less time talking to them because of AIESEC. But even so, I always spend Christmas with my family. And then there's chocolate too - I wouldn't give that up either. :)

What do you want the delegates to take away from this conference?

I hope they will take away the passion that the current MC is passing on. The change of MCs doesn't mean we stop and start over, but we continue what has already been started. I want the delegates to understand better what BIG AIESEC Denmark is.

What characteristic do you value the most in other people?

There are three things I value the most in people ''Guts, determination and heart''

What is the thing you are most looking forward to in the coming term?

It will be an adventure with a new team. There's a good saying in AIESEC: ''One year, one life''

What is the thing you would never give up for AIESEC?

I don't think you really give things up in your life. What you do is, you exchange one for another. It is the law of equivalent trade: ''To obtain, something of equal value must be lost''. To answer your question, I would never give up my health for AIESEC.

What do you want the delegates to take away from this conference?

Knowledge that they can apply not only in AIESEC but also in their own lives.

Page 11: Delegate booklet RELAY '14

The MC elect EnaVP ICX &

What characteristic do you value the most in other people?

As a person, I try my best to be as open-minded and respectful as possible toward other people in every aspect. I value being able to accept others as they are and not judge them immediately. So for the most part, I really value these things in other people as well.

What is the thing you are most looking forward to in the coming term?

There are so many things I am looking forward to because it will be a whole new world for me, I would say. I am excited to work with my team in achieving our goals. I really want to do something for AIESEC Denmark. I hope at the end of the day I am able to satisfy those expectations I set for myself and what the entity expects of me.

What is the thing you would never give up for AIESEC?

I like to set reasonable schedules to not sacrifice my responsibilities in AIESEC or in any other endeavor I have. However, I really value having a personal time and being present in important family affairs. So I would never give those times up for sure.

What do you want the delegates to take away from this conference?

I want the delegates to embrace the learnings they get from the conferences and bring it back to their LCs. It is only when we are able to downscale these strategies that we can say conferences are successful. Moreover, I want the delegates to be inspired to do more and be more. After all, we are in AIESEC to be the best versions of ourselves.

Page 12: Delegate booklet RELAY '14

The MC elect MarysiaMCP

What characteristic do you value the most in other people?

I value sense of humor and honesty

What is the thing you are most looking forward to in the coming term?

For now, I am mostly looking forward to Ena coming to Denmark :p

What is the thing you would never give up for AIESEC?

The history shows that there is no such thing. Maybe my dog.

What do you want the delegates to take away from this conference?

I would like the delegates to believe in big AIESEC in Denmark. Also I would like them to feel the responsibility that comes from standing shoulders of 65 previous generations.
