Commander’s Corner
Hello Post Members,
Well, it is getting close, you know, spring
weather. April showers bring May flowers.
Around here May will bring many things. This
is a busy month – we will be watching the
Kentucky Derby in the lounge and encourage
the ladies to get their hats ready for the best hat
contest. We have outside clean-up scheduled and
need people to volunteer to assist the Grounds
Committee. You can sign up on the sheet on the
bulletin board in the foyer.
May 26th is the Memorial Day ceremony. The
Honor Guard has a fascinating program honoring one
of our own. It is important that our members come out
and participate. This is a good learning experience
for our children and grandchildren.
On Sunday the 27th, we will be placing flags on all
the graves of our deceased Post veterans. Bring your
kids and make them aware of the sacrifices made by
our veterans.
Thanks to the House Committee, the deck has
been power washed and the chairs are being
repaired. The pool will open after the Memorial Day
ceremony. A new pool bulletin board is in place. We
are getting ready for summer – are you? Come up,
help us out and enjoy yourself.
Until next month,
Harvey Freville, Commander
WAC’s:
Our successful Flea Market/Craft
Sale was held in April and we want
to thank everyone who participated
and supported this function.
Our last meeting of the season will be held on
Tuesday, May 1st at 7:15PM in the Social Hall. Hope
2
everyone has a wonderful and safe summer and we
will see you in September.

SPORTS:
IN HOUSE POOL LEAGUE:
Dateline: 2535 Veterans Drive
Dear Sports Fans:
Do you believe in miraculous
recoveries? Well this reporter
does...Tuesday night regular
season champs are the Boys Of
Summer headed by Steve Hill and accompanied by
Jamie Defrancis and Webb "Razor" Bell. 40 wins total!
Playoffs are just beginning to determine Tuesday
night all around champs....but the money is on Hill
and company.
Thursday night regular season champs are Ernie
Natiello along with Ben Briscoe and Joe Urbans. 35
wins total! Should make for interesting playoffs in both
leagues!
Team Hill plans on taking their skills out to Vegas
for the Nationals....good luck boys!
Team Thomas should really consider hanging up
their sticks...I've seen Jerry's kids play better pool!
There are still a few tickets left for our upcoming
weekend adventure at the Delaware State
Hospital...see Chip Roop for details....and finally my
friends....Fast Eddie has these parting words...."I don't
have an attitude problem, you, my friends, have a
perception problem" truer words were never
spoken...now go to your room Eddie!
Until next month my loyal readers, I wish to remain.....
Annoyed !!!
