2. Payment TermsAdvertising must be prepaid until credit is approved.Political ads, ads of public controversy, going-out-of-businessads and ads taken with temporary addresses must be pre-paid prior to publication. VISA, MasterCard, Discover andDebit Cards payments are accepted.

Customers who have an approved credit application on fileare billed monthly. A 1.5% monthly service charge isapplied to bills not paid within 30 days.

3. Policies

All advertising should be in good taste as to form, subject matter,wording, size, i l lustration and composit ion. The publisher reserves the right to revise, edit, reject or cancel anyadvertisement at any time.

All ads, advertising copy, photos, illustrations and web materialsprepared by the Del Norte Triplicate staff become the property ofthe newspaper and may not be reproduced for any other usewithout explicit prior written approval by the publisher.

Political ads will include “Paid for by” and an address or phonenumber within the ad.

Contracts are for the use of individual advertisers only. Advertising space will not be sold by The Del Norte Triplicate forthe purpose of resale or brokered to others.

Omission and Error: Every effort is made to avoid errors. In theevent of a mistake in an ad, the newspaper will be responsible forerrors only to the extent of the space involved. The advertisermust notify the newspaper of corrections prior to the nextpublication. It is agreed that the Del Norte Triplicate is not to beheld responsible for errors in publication, except wherecorrections marked on the advertising proof by the client have notbeen properly made. It is agreed that the Del Norte Triplicateaccepts responsibility for errors only on the first insertion of theadvertisement. It is further agreed that in no case shall thenewspaper be held liable for selling merchandise at a lower pricepublished in error or other losses. Claims for errors will beconsidered if made within 30 days following publication.

Publisher reserves the right to revise advertising rates upon 30days written notice, and the right to set additional rates for specialpromotions or publications.

Ads less than one full page must be bordered. Ads that resemblenews copy must be labeled “Paid Advertisement.”

Retail advertising rates on this card are for run-of-paper (ROP)positioning. The Del Norte Triplicate will attempt to honor allposition requests, but we cannot guarantee that your ad will be ona particular page or in a specific section. Position may beguaranteed by page if available, but not the location of an ad onthat page, for an additional surcharge of 25% of the total cost ofthe ad. At certain times of the year, we may reach capacity tohandle color advertising. The Earlier reservations are submitted,the less likely problems will occur. In the event that capacity isreached, advertiser requests for color will be filled on a first come,first serve basis.

Charges in both the Triplicate and the Pilot fordisplay, classified display, color and pre-print insertions allapply to your annual dollar volume.  Discounted rates arebased on total advertising charges bil led over 12consecutive months with signed contract. If Advertiser doesnot meet the contract requirements, the Advertiser will beshort-rated at  the appropriate rate. 10. Additional Services

Proofing. Display advertisements may be delivered, faxedor emailed to advertisers for proofreading additional proofsover 2 are subject to additiional charges.

Creative Services. Advertisers can take advantage of ourart services which offer artwork, headings and borders at no extra charge. Basic ad design and copywriting is also included with your ad order, at no additionalcost. Staff artist available for custom art/design forindependent projects at $50 per hour. Extra-ordinaryrequests and compositions of advertisements solely forother publications will result in charges of $50 per hour. Wecharge $40 per “send” by email to other papers besides theCurry Coastal Pilot or other WesCom papers.

Co-op Billing. The billing department will gladly provideyour business with a co-op billing statement and tearsheets if you inform your salesperson you are using co-opprior to your ad running.
