Dedan Kimathi University of Technology 8th Graduation Ceremony
MESSAGE FROM THE AG. CHANCELLOR & CHAIRPERSON OF COUNCIL
Welcome to 8th
DeKUT Graduation ceremony. I am delighted to be presiding over this
auspicious ceremony when DeKUT is breaking new grounds on her relationship with the
graduands. It is my hope and desire that with this initiative here in DeKUT, our graduands
will have a rich and memorable celebration.
I sincerely welcome this departure from tradition where now we shall celebrate the
achievement of each one of you: here going forward you are an individual who is going to be
known by name and not referred to merely by a number!
I take this opportunity to congratulate each one of you for your success and I thank your
families for supporting and joining us in the celebration.

THE NATIONAL ANTHEM
ENGLISH
“Oh God of all creation
Bless this our land and nation
Justice be our shield and defender
May we dwell in unity
Peace and liberty
Plenty be found within our borders.
Let one and all arise
With hearts both strong and true
Service be our earnest endeavour
And our homeland of Kenya
Heritage of splendour
Firm may we stand to defend.
Let all with one accord
In common bond united
Build this our nation together
And the glory of Kenya
The fruit of our labour
Fill every heart with thanksgiving.”
