1 Introduction

1.1 Document PurposeThe purpose of this document is to describe the business requirements specifications for the groups of websites that will be developed for DED on top of Microsoft SharePoint 2013 on cloud. This document must be:

Reviewed and confirmed by DED business stakeholders of the project Used as the main implementation and validation reference for both Netways and DED

1.2 Project OverviewDED is looking to redesign and develop their websites which is: DED, FDI, DE, SME and DCO that will have Arabic and English interface and will allow users to interact and navigate into the website and have a responsive web design. In addition it will follow/comply with DSC and special needs guidelines.

2 Netways PTPI ApproachThis is the approach of Netways for defining the project’s requirements. It is divided into 4 main sections: People, Technology, Processes and Insights. The general scope of our PTPI Information Architecture is to connect people, with technology through processes to gather insights.

The following sections of the document will further specify the business requirements of DED websites.

2.1 Dubai FDI Website

2.1.1 People In this section we will define the users of the system that will have access to it. People can be either employees or non-employees.

2.1.1.1 EmployeesThese users will be Dubai FDI and DED employees

2.1.1.1.1 AuthenticationDubai FDI SharePoint website will be connected to DED Active Directory 2012, where user will be authenticated through active directory.

2.1.1.1.2 Authorization We will create 3 groups in SharePoint, which are DED administrator, Dubai FDI administrator and Dubai FDI Editor, where Netways will assign the appropriate permissions on these groups. Users will inherit automatically the permissions from its related group.

2.1.1.1.3 Profile The profile of Dubai FDI employees will have the following

2.1.2 Technology In this section we will define the technology used by the “People” on the system. Technology may include Applications, Data Sources, Content Sources, SOA and communication.

2.1.2.1 Communication Communication layer will gather all information that is received by employees and will constitute a layer for handling all external communication sent by employees, this layer will include:

2.1.2.2 Service Oriented Architecture

2.1.2.2.1 ExchangeThe website will integrate with DED Exchange 2013 in order to send/receive emails notifications.

2.1.2.2.2 Active DirectoryThe website will integrate with DED Active Directory 2012 to allow FDI employees to be authenticated through active directory and access the system.

2.1.2.3 Website Language and Design Dubai FDI website will be available in English and Arabic languages where user will be able to switch between languages using the language switcher and English will be the main language.

When the user clicks on the other language link, he/she must be redirected to the same page he/she was originally browsing but in the other language.

The website will be based on responsive web design where it will be accessible on desktop as well as mobile devices (IOS, Android and Blackberry) and tables to provide an optimal viewing experience. The design will be provided by Drumbeat Company.

The page must list the latest X photo albums where X is configurable. Paging must be enabled to browse to the rest of the photo albums. Once clicked in the albums user will be able to see list of photos, clicking on photo it will be opened in a light box.

Paging must be enabled to browse to the rest of the videos. Once clicked in the albums user will be able to see list of videos, clicking on a video must open it in a light box where it will be played.Please note that you will have 2 different video players as YouTube and HTML5 video players are different.In addition, please note that if you need to upload a video, for each video you need to upload it 3 times with different extensions which are: MP4, OGG and WebM, since browsers doesn't support all extensions. (We need to use HTML5 video player since we are implementing a responsive website (working on different size of screen: mobile and PC)).

We will create a statistic chart for the submitted from that will have SQL as data source and it will be built using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS). The chart output should be defined by the company.

Dubai FDI will be able to add/delete/update the above information from the back using SharePoint intuitive user interface.This component will be dynamic, where admin will be able to add/delete/update countries.

2.1.4.1 Search Netways will configure SharePoint Enterprise Search features by building a “Search Center” where users can search any content using simple, advanced search features.

Below is some of the interesting features that will be available in the “Search Center”:

Search Categories (Everything, Videos, Photos and Documents) Personalized search results based on search history and popularity. Results can be ordered

based on the search criteria of the user and based on the popularity and use of the content Rich contextual previews Faceted Search: When a search query returns a lot of results, the faceted search

functionality displays a refinement panel on the left side of the screen. In the panel, users can refine the results based on managed metadata of the content he/she is looking for. Administrators can also configure other categories that can be used in the refinement panel based on the taxonomy used

Query Syntax (Boolean Search): users can use “AND”, “NOT”, and “OR” in their search queries.
