On the proposaI of the Vice Chancellor of The University of Bamenda

HEREBY DECIDES AS FOLLOWS:Article 1- A competitive entrance examination for the admission of students into the first year of the ColJege ofTechnology of The University of Bamenda has been launched for the 2018/19 academie year in the followingprogrammes: Agribusiness Technology; Agricultural and Environmental Engineering; Animal Production

Technology; Crop Production Technology; Food Science and Technology; Electric Power Engineering;r Electronics; Computer Networks and Systems Maintenance; and Software Engineering .

. ' ."...Article 2- The exarnination shall be organized in one sitting for Cameroonians of both sexes as weil as to foreignersresident in Cameroon.

Article 3- The qualifications and the number of places available in the first year programmes of the College ofTechnology (COLTECH) of The University ofBamenda for the Academie year 2018/2019 are as follows:

Article 4- The application file sha1l comprise the following documents:• A registration forrn to be collected from the College of Technology of The University of Barnenda and

Delegations of Secondary Education or downloaded from the website of the University of Barnenda:http://www.uniba-edu.cm

• A certified true copy ofbirth certificate dated not more than six (6) months;• Certified true copies of Transcripts ofGCE O/L or Probatoire and GCE AIL or Baccalauréat.• A certified true copy of GCE AIL or Baccalauréat or equivalent diplorna dated not more than six (6) months;• A certified true copy ofGCE O/L or Probatoire or equivalent diploma dated not more th an six (6) months;• A receipt of payment of the sum of twenty thousand (20,000) FCFA being a non-refundable registration fee

delivered by NFC BANK S.A. following the bank code 10025, branch code 00030, account number0301640104384253 or by MTN or Orange Money. No other form of payment is accepted;

• One self-addressed stamped A4 size envelope;• Four passport-size photographs.

Article 5- (1) Holders of foreign diplomas shaIl submit either the equivalence or the receipt showing that they appliedfor the equivalence of their diplomas or certificates. The order granting equivalence and the receipt are issued by theMinister of Higher Education.

(2) The final admission of these candidates shall be confirmed only ory pies'entation within the date limit setby the competent authorities ofthe text granting them equivalence .. ,

Article 6- Complete files should be submitted to the directorate of the College of Technology, The University ofBamenda and in all delegations of Secondary Education latest 8th September, 2018.

Article 7 - The examination shall comprise:a) Study of files (30% of the total assessment);b) Two written papers (70% of the total assessment).

Article 8 - (1) The examination subjects/papers will be as follows:Paper 1: 3hrs Coefficient 5A) Candidates seeking admission into the Agribusiness Programme (2 subjects): Mathematics and

Economies;B) Candidates seeking admission into the Agricultural and Environmental Engineering Programme (3

subjects): Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics or Biology;C) Candidates seeking admission into the Animal Production Technology, Crop Production Technology

and Food Science and Technology Programmes (3 subjects): Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry orPhysics;

D) Candidates seeking admission into the Electric Power Engineering or Electronics Programme (3subjects): Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry

E) Candidates seeking admission into the Computer Networks and Systems Maintenance or SoftwareEngineering Programme (3 subjects): Mathematics, Computer Science and Physics or Chemistry.

Article 9- (1) The written papers will take place on Saturday 'l'5th September, 2018 in the following four (4)Examination Centres: The University of Bamenda - Bambili, Buea, Douala and Yaoundé.

(2) A press release published by the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Bamenda shall ultimately indicate themodalities of the organization ofthe written examination.

(3) Candidates are requested to come to the examination centres at least 30 minutes before the start of each examinationpaper. They must come along with their National Identity Card and acceptance slip.

Article 10- The Vice Chancellor of The University of Bamenda, the Director of the College of Technology, theDirector of University Accreditations and Quality of the Ministry of Higher Education each in his/her own sphere, arercsponsible for the implementation of this Order which shall be registered and published in English and Frenchwherever necessary.
