NEWSPAPER ASSIGNMENT

• Between now and the end of the semester you must find an article in the newspaper that relates to the driving task. You must get it from an actual paper and not the web. (15 points) Three people per day can present their article. If the article is used you must find another.

Decide:

• You want your decisions to enable you to minimize hazards.

• You want your decisions to enable you to separate hazards.

• Your decisions may make you compromise space.

• The IPDE process, Smith System, and Zone Control Systems are designed to enable you to avoid hazards.

3. What could the truck driver have done to create separation?

4. What could the driver of the light blue car have done better?

5. What speed control should each driver now take?

6. What are other hazards that aren’t apparent in the picture?
