It’s been said, “when you die, you can’t take it with you.” Connections asked “if you could take it with you, what would “it” be?” Here are some answers:

My dog, Tova – Mindi Mietlicki My pillow. Th e dead need comfy places to sleep. Just sayin’! – Chris Reybrouck My family – Maisha Drayton I would need to bring my laptop hands down! I’m going to be so bored when I die so what bett er thing to bring than a computer. I can see what’s going on with the world, play games, watch youtube, read, the possibilities are endless. Hopefully there’s WiFi up there... – James DeGarmo If I had to take one thing with my when I died, it would be my best friend, my dog Ginger. She and I would be some

prett y awesome ghosts! - Patrick Butler If I could take something with me when I die, it would probably be my Xbox... or Angry Birds, the Star Wars Edition. – Mike Lee Well, I am assuming that I will perish before my son, so I would want to take him with me so I wouldn’t leave him alone. But that is selfi sh because he has so much more left to do here on earth fi rst!!! – Aaron Pry I would take my dog Foxie with me!!! – Michele Ogden My cats (All three of them... they’d have to come as a set as I couldn’t pick just one.) – Kimberly Harding “It” would be my beautiful, annoying dog, Arthur. Except in heaven, he would never poop. He would never, ever poop again. Never. Oh, and Lindt chocolate truffl es. - Kimberly Lombard. C

What’s Your FavoriteHoliday Movie?

Meet Me in St. Louis, starring the one and only Judy

Garland. She was 21 when she was cast, and she con-

sidered it her fi rst grown up movie. Vincent Minnelli

directed it (it was when they fi rst met) and she claimed

he was the fi rst person to make her feel beautiful. Th e

infamous Christmas song, Have Yourself a Merry Litt le

Christmas is the fi lm’s signature song. Th is movie is my

favorite movie of all time. I own it on DVD and VHS.

(Maisha Drayton) National Lampoon’s Christmas Vaca-

tion!!!! (Aaron Pry) My favorite holiday movies are A

Christmas Story and Elf. (Th eresa Shankland) Th e Fam-

ily Stone and Love Actually. (Michele Ogden) National

Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. (Patrick Butler) Th e

Year Without a Santa Claus (who doesn’t know the Heat

Miser/Snow Miser song?) and Tim Burton’s Th e Night-

mare Before Christmas. Claymation is awesome! (Kim-

berly Harding) Family Stone - Diane Keaton makes my

heart melt in this movie. If you haven’t watched it, email

me for a viewing party at lunch. How the Grinch Stole

Christmas - the Jim Carrey version! (Mindi Mietlicki)

My favorite holiday movie is Th e Grinch Who Stole

Christmas - the cartoon, not the heinously terrible Jim

Carrey one. (Mike Lee) Editor’s Note: uh oh... we have

an argument brewing! A Christmas Story. (Amajaraya

Hunter) It’s A Wonderful Life an all-time classic. I try

to watch it every time it comes on TV. (Trish Hopkins)

Th is was a tough choice, but Bad Santa would be my fa-

vorite. It’s not the usual classic Christmas movie, but it

makes me laugh every time and it keeps with the Christ-

mas spirit so Bad Santa it is. ( James DeGarmo)
