DECEMBER 2010
This month we donated canned goods that were
traditional for Thanksgiving dinner to a family in need. We also
planned for Christmas Caroling in December and to make
Christmas Cards. If you would like to help sing or have any
suggestions to help in other ways please contact
Brynn Walling at [email protected]
Delta Zeta gives a helping hand.
We attend sisterhood events to strengthen our
friendship which will then strengthen our sisterhood. This
month we went ice skating in Frederick, MD.

Some great things have been going on with the collegiate chapter during the month of November. We had New
Member Retreat on the 12th. We went ice skating on the 13th as a sisterhood event. On the 17th we helped the new
members guard the rocks which is an ongoing tradition at Shepherd University. We celebrated Thanksgiving with
our families during break and began lamplighting ceremony when we returned.
Megan Lewis and Blair Staton
created matching
shirts for a new member of the
pink family,
Emily Taylor.
Delta Zeta had a
past sisterhood
event where we stayed at an Inn,
roasted
marshmallows and played
games.
Here sisters are
having fun at the
ice skating rink.

One of the closest bonds formed in Delta Zeta
will be with a Big Sister. Much like the name implies, a Big
Sister becomes a guide during a new member’s first
months experiencing Delta Zeta as well as remaining a
very special person throughout your life. Here is a list of
sisters that took little sisters this semester and the name
of the family. These families help the new members by
finding themselves with not only a new Big Sister, but also
a Grand Big Sister and a Great-Grand Big Sister! This will
allow them the opportunity to experience Delta Zeta's
sisterhood throughout the different families in our chapter.
