We cannot believe it’s already December, can you? This past month has been full of exciting learning opportunities. Let us share a few of them with you.

Remembrance Day

Our class all had a role to play in preparations for the Remembrance Day ceremony held at our school. The Sistema students practiced diligently to deliver a beautiful performance. The choir students worked hard with Ms. Ella and touched everyone in the room with their beautiful voices. Kai Gem and Carmen made our class proud as they led the ceremony in a respectful but confident manner. The rest of the class participated by creating a wreath and listening respectfully in the audience.

Student-Led Conferences

Student-led conferences were a great success! Thank you to every guardian who showed their support by attending the conference. It was wonderful to meet with you all and discuss your child’s strengths and next steps. Remember I’m always happy to arrange meetings to address any concerns you may have. Contact the school at 204- 586-8381 to arrange a meeting.

• In art and writing, students are creating autobiographies with self-portraits.

• In social studies, we are learning about the confederation of Canada and the treaties made between the Indigenous Nations of Canada and the Federal Government of Canada.
