I wanted to express best wishes to each of you for a wonderful holiday season and a New Year filled with peace and happiness! I also would like to thank you for all the ways you contribute to make Student Services a place where students feel heard, understood and helped.
Enjoy your holidays!
Donna Director, Student Services
In January, we will welcome over 4000 new students to our campuses. We will need your help to make Experience Seneca a success.
You will need to be familiar with the activities so you can direct students to the right place and will be asked to help with the 3 parts of Experience Seneca:
Open Early January-5-9
Day One- January 12
Experience Seneca Activities January 13-23
Open Early- January 5-9 Students are encouraged to come to campus to complete their College business and get to know their campus better from January 5-9.
During the week, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Ask Me tables will be available where new students will be greeted by a current Seneca student who can help them prepare for their first day by showing them their classrooms, helping them get their OneCard, introducing them to ser-vices, or working through the New Student Checklist
Ask Me tables will be located at the following campuses:
King Campus Main Lobby, Outside Student Services
Markham Campus Atrium
Newnham Campus Minkler Atrium, Building A
Seneca@York Campus Front Lobby
Day One- January 12 New students’ first day is Monday, January 12, starting at 10 a.m. Students will be directed to their program room for activities to help them succeed in their program, to meet their classmates and professors and to receive information about the resources available to support their time at Seneca. Help will be needed to welcome and direct students to their class-rooms, and to answer any questions they have.
*Your classes begin on
Tuesday, January 13 as
shown on your timetable.
Experience Seneca Activities- January 13-23 From January 13 to 23 optional Experience Seneca activities are being held. Check out the link to see what’s happening at King, Markham, Newnham and Seneca@York Campuses. Activities are open to all students.
