MASTER CLASS PERFORMING ARTS Spring Auditions!

Auditions for actors and actresses of any age are scheduled for Friday, November 16 & Saturday, November 17 beginning at 6:00pm at the Electric

City Barn, 400 Craig Street, Schenectady, NY. Applicants should come prepared to perform 32 measures of any Broadway song, and complete a

dance audition. Backing tracks are necessary for the audition; an accompanist will not be available. No A Cappella Auditions Permitted.

Please keep in mind that we provide several forms that must be completed prior to the audition. If you are under the age of 18 a parent must accompany

you to the audition in order to fill out the forms and sign the paperwork.

Little Shop of Horrors Tuition: $300.00*

Performance Dates: February 7 - 10, 2019

Rehearsal Dates: Rehearsals to be held on Wednesdays, Thursdays & Saturdays commencing Mid-December.

Benjamin Strodl (Les) is a seventh grader at Howard L. Goff middle school. He has been in Disney’s Beauty and the

Beast (Chip), Elf Jr. (Michael), and Hairspray (IQ). He loves Singing, Dancing and Acting. You can see him later

WHO’S WHO IN THE CAST & CREW

Grace Lyman (Mush & Others) is excited for her third show with Master Class Performing Arts and plans to do more. Most recently, she has been on stage as the White Knight in MCPA’s production of Wonderland and the

Cheshire Cat in Mohan Masque Jr Production of Disney’s Alice in Wonderland Jr. She also has been involved with

Drama Kids for six years. Some of her other hobbies include color guard, sewing and painting.

Nicholas Masson (Choreographer) grew up in Hudson, New Hampshire where he began dancing at “Dance En-ergy” at the young age of 3. Around the age of 10 he began theatre at the local community theatre company “Pea-

cock Players”. After graduating from Alvirne High School he attended Point Park University and majored in Dance

with a concentration in Jazz. After finishing his first year he auditioned for the 1st National Tour of Newsies and toured as Mush/Bill.

Ella Cate McDonnell (Crutchie) is a freshman at Niskayuna High School. She has been in many shows since she

began acting in second grade. Some recent shows include: Aida (Ensemble), Elf Jr. (Jovie), Tuck Everlasting (Win-

nie), and Disney’s The Lion King Jr. (Rafiki). Ella would like to thank her parents and brother for their support and would like to thank Andrew, Kelly, and Nick for everything they have done to make this show possible.

Michelle McGinty-Miller (Stage Manager) is the proud stage momma of Chad Miller who is featured in this

production as Davey. Michelle has spent a great deal of time both on the stage and off, in such roles as Ms. Gloop

(Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka), Pick-A-Little Lady (The Music Man), Miss Cratchit (Gypsy), 9 to 5 the Dolly Parton Musical, the Raisin (A Raisin in the Sun) and many more. She is ecstatic to be working on this fun filled production

and wishes the cast and crew broken legs. She would like to extend a special thank you to her director Andrew Higgs, for without him....well she would not be here (and neither would this bio). She would also like to thank Nick

for all of his help.

Chad Miller (Davey) enjoys singing, acting, and playing with his adorable Service Dog, Riku. He does in fact like

pina coladas and getting caught in the rain. Chad is very glad to be working with Andrew and the rest of the Master

Class family. Some favorite shows he's been in are "Sleepy Hollow", "Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka", and "Seussical the Musical". He has won a TANYS Award for "The Music Man" (Winthrop Paroo) with Our Own Productions. He

would like to thank his family, for their constant support; his grandfather, who showed him the path he is currently

on in life; Andrew, for being an amazing friend (and director); and Nick, the choreographer, for making Chad push himself every day.

Jacob Oliver (Wiesel & Everyone Else) is in the eighth grade at Albany Academy. His favorite performances in-

clude: ROALD DAHL’S JAMES AND THE GIANT PEACH (Ensemble), DREAMWORKS MADAGASCAR

(Alex the Lion), SEUSSICAL (General Schmitz), HAIRSPRAY (Brad), WILLY WONKA (Augustus), ANNIE (Bert Healy), SLEEPY HOLLOW (Washington), 13 THE MUSICAL, THE LION THE WITCH AND THE WARD-

ROBE and PETER PAN (Smee). Jacob has a background in piano, ukulele, trumpet, tap dancing and singing. Later his year you can see Jacob in ANNIE with MCPA. Jacob would like to thank his family for their support and Master

Class Performing Arts for giving him this opportunity.

Justin Osborne (Les) is 10 years old and is in the sixth grade at FMS. He filled in as Grandma Josephine in Roald

Dahl’s Willy Wonka, hence the nickname Josie. Previous credits include the We Tell the Story Cabaret, Jojo in Seus-sical, King Julian in DreamWorks Madagascar and the White King in Wonderland. He enjoys hanging out with his

friends. He would like to thank Andrew for this opportunity and his family for their support.

Noël Paul-Lyman (Medda Larkin) is really excited for this falls production of Newsies. Previous credits include

Wonderland as the White Queen and Tweedle Dee, DreamWorks Madagascar as Private and Mort, and so much more. She also student teaches a local acting class and she's been acting for almost 9 years. Besides acting she loves

to draw and write and practice her favorite songs on piano. She thanks her family and friends for motivating her to

follow her dreams.

Fiona Phelps (Race & Others) is a freshman at Chatham High School. She was seen most recently as Pepper in MacHaydn Theatre’s production of Annie. Some of her favorite roles include Adelaide (Guys & Dolls Jr.), Cat

(Honk Jr.), Dragon (Shrek Jr.), and Kendra (13!). Fiona is a competitive dancer with Columbia Elite Allstars. She

would like to thank the MCPA for this opportunity!

George Phelps (Joseph Pulitzer) is proud to be in this production of Disney’s Newsies and to be able to work with this talented cast! Favorite past roles include: Mr. Banks (Disney’s Mary Poppins), Farquaad (Shrek the Musical),

and Fagin (Oliver!). George would like to thank his wife for always being supportive, and his daughter Fiona for

letting him come to play theatre too!

Morgan Rogers (Mike & Others) is a trained ballet and pointe dancer at Ferrara's Dance Studio. Her most recent show for Ferrara's was Beauty and the Beast (ensemble). Morgan has been in Mohonasen's production of Alice In

Wonderland Jr and MCPA’s production of DreamWorks Madagascar (as Gloria!) and Wonderland. She has experi-

ence with percussion and is currently in her school chorus.

WHO’S WHO IN THE CAST & CREW

Lacey Allen (Buttons & Others) is 15 years old and is a sophomore at Guilderland High School. She has performed

in Oklahoma! and Peter Pan at Farnsworth Middle School. She played the role of Jukes the pirate in Peter Pan Jr.

with Broadway Sings Young Artist Program. With Master Class Performing Arts she has played the role of Beatrice in Sleepy Hollow, she filled in as Mr. Salt in Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka, Matthews in Elf Jr., Penny Pingleton in

Hairspray, and Alice in Wonderland! She has enjoyed performing in the cabarets as well. In addition to singing and acting Lacey enjoys volunteering working for and with people with Alzheimer's disease and other dementias. She has

really enjoyed working with Andrew and everyone else here at Master Class Performing Arts. She would like to

thank her family for all of their support.

Hailey Auster (Medda Larkin) has performed in several Capital District area musicals including (as Tracy Turn-blad) Hairspray, Suessical, Wonderland, Madagascar, 13, Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka, Sleepy Hollow, Peter Pan,

Annie Jr., Once on this Island, Jonah and the Whale, Noah and the Ark, and Moses and the Freedom Fanatics. She is

an 8th grader at Van Antwerp Middle School in Niskayuna, and plays on the modified field hockey and basketball teams, and sings in the choir. She would like to thank Andrew, Kelly and all the parent helpers at MCPA who help to

organize these great shows.

Moe Auster (Snyder) is making his sophomore acting appearance as an adult after performing in MCPA’s produc-

tion of Hairspray (Mr. Pinky, Harriman Spritzer and others) in the spring. In addition to being avid runner and hiker,

he is a tenor with the Ne’imah Jewish Community Choir. When he’s not being an Uber driver for his daughters

Abby and Hailey or loving husband to his very understanding wife Martha, he is Senior Vice President for the Medi-

cal Society of the State of NY. Moe would like to thank Andrew, Kelly and all the parent volunteers who are now co-conspirators in his newfound acting hobby.

Regina Desrosiers (Katherine Plumber) is a recent graduate from Hudson Valley Consortium. Regina has been in

over 20 productions, some of her favorite credits include Maggie (A Chorus Line), The Game's Afoot or Holmes for

the Holidays (Inspector Harriet Goring), Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, The Addams Family (Bride Ancestor/Dance Captain), Elf Jr (Emily Hobbs), Peter Pan (Wendy), Guys and Dolls (Ensemble), Don’t Iron

While the Strike is Hot (Easter Keegan). She would like to thank her parents for their support, the entire cast and

crew for their hard work.

Sarah Dworman (Hannah & Others) is extremely proud to be joining the MCPA’s production of Newsies. Sarah lives in the Adirondacks and attends Gloversville Middle School where she will be entering eighth grade. Sarah’s

favorite roles include Jane in Mary Poppins, Fiona in Shrek, Mayzie in Suessical and the storyteller in Once on this

Island. Other musical performances include Kelsey in High School Musical, storyteller/tapper in Aladdin, and Viola in My Son Pinocchio. She is an accomplished flutist, aspiring writer and enjoys swimming.

Carrington Elmore (Katherine Plumber) is so excited to be performing for the first time with Master Class Per-

forming Arts in their production of Newsies! Other works have included Seussical Jr., Disney’s Mulan Jr., Peter

Pan, Peter Pan Jr., Oklahoma, Disney’s Lion King Jr., and The Music Man. She sings and plays piano at her youth group on Friday nights and is so excited to do one of her first lead roles as Katherine. She would like to thank her

family for supporting her and cheering her on, especially her twin sister Sydney for always being there. And a special

thanks to Mrs. Golub for helping her improve her singing and supporting her through this show.

Sydney Elmore (Crutchie) is astatic to do her first performance with Master Class. In the past she has been in Suessical Jr., Disney’s Mulan Jr., Peter Pan, Peter Pan Jr., Oklahoma, Disney’s Lion King Jr., and The Music Man.

Sydney is so happy to play one of her favorite roles, Crutchie. She would like to thank her family and friends for

encouraging her to audition and to pursue her acting career. She would especially like to thank her twin sister Car-rington for the support she’s given throughout every show. Sydney would like to thank Mrs.Golub for helping her

with her music this past year.

Gabbriella Green (Oscar Delancey & Others) is fourteen years old and a freshman at Columbia High School. Pre-

vious credits include: Hairspray the Musical (Shayna) and Seussical the Musical (Wickersham Brother). In the fu-ture Gabby plans on attending Julliard School of Music and being on Broadway. Outside of theatre Gabby loves to

sing, do gymnastics and spending time with her family and friends. She hopes you enjoy the show.

Rachel Guyer (Morris Delancey & Others) is fifteen years old and is a sophomore at Guilderland High School.

Other than acting, she enjoys dance and being on the youth worship team at her local church. Recent credits include Wonderland!, Seussical, Hairspray, Elf the Musical Jr., Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka, Sleepy Hollow, and Oklahoma!

Rachel is happy about being a part of MCPA’s production of Newsies. Rachel is looking forward to playing Miss

Hannigan in Annie this December. She would like to thank the production crew and cast for a great experience, and her mother for being so supportive of her passion for the arts.

Mark Halsey (Seitz & Others) started doing theatre as a way of spending time with his kids. He has performed A Christmas Carol (Scrooge), Hairspray (Wilbur), Avenue Q (Brian), Disney's Beauty and the Beast (Lumiere) and

Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka (Grandpa Joe). Mark is also a worship leader at Immanuel Church in Schodack, a small

business owner, and is the head bus driver for the East Greenbush Schools. His greatest joy comes in watching his kids succeed and strive for greatness in all that they do. Thanks to my amazing wife Priscilla for giving me the flexi-

bility to pursue this new passion.

Zoe Jaeger (Spot Conlon & Others) is in the ninth grade at Columbia High School. In her free time, she likes to

volunteer helping with the kids at Quest, volunteer at the library and having fun with friends. She has performed in

several productions some of her favorite roles are Gertrude in Seussical, Amber in Hairspray, Deb in Elf Jr., Violet

in Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka, Young Nala in Disney’s The Lion King Jr., and Ensemble in 13 the musical. Later this

year you can catch Zoe in Annie with MCPA as Grace Farrell. Zoe would like to thank her mom for all her hard

work, love, support and dedication. She would like to also thank her friends and family for all the love and support they continue to give her! Moreover, a special thank you to Andrew for giving her a chance to shine!

Kelly Jaeger (Producer) is ecstatic to be joining the production team of Hairspray the Musical. Previous theatrical

credits include: Seussical, Hairspray, Elf Jr., Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka, Sleepy Hollow the Musical, The Wizard of

Oz, Roald Dahl's James and the Giant Peach, Disney's Beauty and the Beast, Aida the Musical and several others. No, not on stage, but as a stage mom (very similar to Dance Moms, if Andrew was Abby Lee Miller, but not in jail).

She would like to thank you for coming to the show and congratulate her beautiful daughter, Zoe Jaeger.

Leah John (Specs & Others) is in eighth grade at Myers Middle School. She enjoys basketball, lacrosse, and play-

ing the saxophone. Recent stage credits include Ensemble (Little Shop of Horrors), Florinda (Into the Woods), Irving (Sleepy Hollow the Musical), Ensemble (Tuck Everlasting), Charlotte Dennon (Elf the Musical), Little Inez (Hair-

spray), Wickersham brother (Seussical the Musical), and Melman (Dreamworks Madagascar). She would like to

thank her amazing director Andrew for everything he does.

Kathryn Legasse (Jo Jo & Others) does gymnastics. Her most recent shows include The Drowsy Chaperone (en-semble) at Debuts Theatre Company, We Tell The Story Cabaret, Broadway Spectacular Cabaret, A Murdered Mys-

tery and Other Short Plays, Hairspray (Shelly), Seussical (Wickersham), DreamWorks Madagascar (Kowalski),

Wonderland (White Rabbit) with Master Class Performing Arts, and Disney's Mary Poppins Jr (Miss Smythe) with Shen Summer Camp. Kathryn goes to Shen High School and is in the tenth grade.

Marianna Loomis (Albert & Others) is in 9th grade at Columbia High School. Some of her favorite performances

include Peter Pan (Nana)-Goff Middle School, Christmas Carol (Fan)- SYFI, The Wizard Of Oz (Nikko)-SYFI,

Once on This Island (Little Ti Moune)-SYFI, and James and The Giant Peach-Park Playhouse. She is thrilled to have the opportunity to play Albert in this production of Newsies!
