Introduction
Dear participant,
I would like to thank you for attending the 2nd Annual Kingdom Women In Leadership Forum on December 4th and 5th 2011, at Al Faisaliah hotel in Riyadh.
This post-event report gives you a breakdown and reference guide to this year’s proceedings, and also provides you with a general overview of our upcoming events in Saudi Arabia.
The two-day forum received an enthusiastic response from over 300 high-profile women leaders. These included members of royalty, government dignitaries, CEOs, MDs, VPs, consultants and experts from across the Kingdom representing diverse industry sectors.
Participants gained inspiration from leadership presentations and interactive discussions, and the opportunity to communicate their thoughts and ideas for success. They also discussed strategic alliances, business opportunities and shared their leadership experiences with women from across the world.
Day one focused on women leaders in charity and the support provided to women in Saudi Arabia. It included:• The opening address by HRH Princess Adelah Bint Abdullah on the role of the Saudi woman in charity work and in the Kingdom’s economy• A keynote address by HRH Princess Nora on the efforts of successful women who have played an important role in supporting the advancement and development of women • Other keynote speeches and panel discussions on issues such as for-profit organisations and their role in female empowerment, how to establish networking relationships, and healthcare.
Day two focused on women in business, and featured panel discussions, workshops, and the event’s closing session. On behalf of naseba, I would like to thank you for your support and I look forward to hosting you again at the 3rd Annual Kingdom Women In Leadership Forum in May 2012.

There is no doubt that the private sector is very important - to the same degree of the public one - in terms of supporting women and helping them achieve leading positions. Post Event Report
The 2nd Annual Kingdom Women in Leadership Forum is not just a two-day event. Our marketing and promotional activities begin six months earlier and its success can be attributed to multi-channel marketing campaigns comprising of:
Telemarketing: The forum’s dedicated team of industry-specific business analysts pre-qualify delegates - personally inviting key dignitaries and industry professionals to ensure only influential leaders attend the summit.
E-newsletters: These carry the latest news and updates on speakers, sponsors and partners attending the initiative and serve as a tool to create brand awareness and promote our sponsors.Fax campaigns: Extensive fax campaigns are executed to ensure targeted delegates receive invitations and updates. These campaigns were sent both in Arabic and English, and they target members of royalty, c-level Executives, HR Directors, and high-profile delegates across Saudi Arabia.
Print advertising: A series of advertisements are placed - with an approximate distribution in excess of one million copies. They are published in key global and regional industry-specific publications which partner with the event.
Press/media relations: Strong media relations in the region and strategic partnerships with key PR agencies ensure that the 2nd Annual Kingdom Women in Leadership Forum is featured in leading international and local press. During the event cycle, over ten press releases were written and published announcing new partnerships, sponsors and speaker updates.
E-mail campaigns: These are sent to more than 30,000 pre-qualified delegates and vendors. All sponsors and partners are promoted through these emails.
Website: The event website is one of the primary media channels through which the platform is promoted. It is updated in real-time and reflects specific developments, with a special section dedicated to sponsors and partners.
Social media: Creating groups and forums on social networking sites such as LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook enables discussion about the 2nd Annual Kingdom Women in Leadership Forum by senior experts in the industry.
