John Bates reports that the golf tournament took in $12,275, with $5814 in expenses, netting $6461 for our charity projects. There were 65 golfers. Last week we presented Debra Verges, the president of NE Florida Boys and Girls Clubs, a check for $4000. Ms Verges and Tracee Norris both attended the golf event and have proven to be great partners for our Kiwanis Club. Working the date of the tournament were Max Booke, Bill Montgomery, Charlie Bender, Al Russ, Burt van Wagner, Walt Pfeil, Joe Overby, Jim Lee, John Bates, Ed Robinson, Carl Krouch, Neil Powell, and Gary Crumley. -- Butch Shadwell

WHITE CHRISTMASWHITE CHRISTMAS
I’m dreaming of a color-challenged non-sectarian-nonreligious federal holiday;
Just like the ones I (not to exclude you, also) used to know (if knowing is possible);
Where the all-inclusive greenery either shines or doesn’t shine (according to your personal
perspective)
And non-adult humans listen (unless they are hearing-impaired) to hear vehicle noisemakers of
various sorts in the snow (not meant to offend those in warmer climates where there is no snow).
I’m dreaming of a color-challenged non-sectarian-nonreligious federal holiday; with every non-
sectarian non-religious correspondence (not to exclude computer users and emails).
May your days be merry and bright, or dark and dismal if you prefer.
And may all your non-sectarian non-religious federal holidays be multi-colored.
