Door to Door One-Way Bus Fare: $4 base fare, $2 studentInterested students should complete an application for thediscount fare at the Transfer Center. Two (2) children up to12 years old and younger can ride for free with a paying adult.

Service Area: Trips provided to any location within the City Limitsof Danville and Cane Creek Centre Industrial Park. On Saturdaysonly from noon until 12:30 am service is provided within 10 milesof the city limits of Danvillle.

Service Hours: 4:00 am - 1:00 am, last boarding time 12:30 am

Reservation and Cancellation Options: Please call 799-5144,Option #2 to reserve or cancel service. Passengers can also visitwww.danvilletransit.com and click online booking app to makea prior day or same day reservation and click cancel bus trip tocancel a scheduled trip.

Prior day trip requests must be received by 11:00 am the daybefore service is desired to be scheduled for the following day.

Service can be reserved for one or more days unless a cap onreservation exists.

Scheduled boarding times: Boarding times may vary daily basedon passenger reservations received. An automated phone systemwill notify passengers of your scheduled boarding time after7:00 pm. Please call 799-5144 if you do not receive this notice.

RESERVE A RIDE, HANDIVAN AND SENIOR OPERATIONS

Same day reservations may only be completed by visitingwww.danvilletransit.com and submitting an online request.

Please click online reservation app after going to Danville Transit’swebpage and identify the date service is needed.

Same day service is provided from 8:00 am until 12:30 am.

Passengers may submit online same day service requests from6:00 am unti l 6:00 pm, Monday through Saturday.

Same day service is provided only within the city limits of Danville.

Passengers should identify a phone number when submitting asame day trip request.

Same day reservations should be submitted at least 1 hour prior tothe requested boarding time.

Same day reservations are not guaranteed. If a service requestcannot be completed, Danville Transit staff will notify passengersno later than 30 minutes prior of the requested boarding time formorning and afternoon trips and by 6:30 pm for evening trips.

Danville Transit will inform passengers of the estimated time ofarrival by phone or via email no later than 30 minutes in advanceof the requested boarding time and advise passengers of the busnumber so persons can track the bus at www.dtbuslocator.com.

Cancellations for same day reservations can completed by phoneor online by clicking cancel bus trip within 30 minutes of thescheduled boarding time. Passengers should call 434-799-5144 tocancel service.

SAME DAY RESERVATION BASED SERVICE

RESERVE A RIDEPOLICY AND PROCEDURES

No Show Policy - If a scheduled trip has not been cancelled withinone hour and the bus arrives at the pick up location and thepassenger is not present to board then the passenger will becharged for that ride. If a passenger maintains three (3) no showsthen payment for each no show must be provided in advance tostaff at the Transfer Center, which is located at 515 Spring Streetor to the driver to receive service.

Cancellation Policy - Passengers must call 60 minutes in advanceof their scheduled trip time to cancel service. However, a patternof cancellations may result in suspension of service for one week.This policy is necessary to promote fair and efficient Reserve ARide operations. Prior day cancellations do not apply to thispolicy.

Reservation Limitations - The number of reservations that areprocessed daily may be restricted due to limited resources. Asa result, passengers could be informed that their reservationcannot be scheduled. If so, please call back the transit office tosee if a cancellation occurred that would allow for your trip tobe scheduled.

Half Fare Discount Period & Transportation Options for Seniors -The fixed-route half fare discount period for persons 60 years old or older, MedicareCard Holders and persons with disabilities is from 6:00 am until noon, Mondaythrough Saturday. Also, persons 60 years old or older can make a reservationto receive door to door service that involves a requested voluntary donation. Thisservice is provided through coordination efforts with Danville Transit and theSouthern Area Agency on Aging. SERVICE TIPS

End of Line bus service - If fixed-route passengers need to travel to an areathat is beyond the end of the line on the 5:45 pm run, then please inform thedriver of your final destination immediately upon boarding. If the requestedlocation does not require a transfer then the driver will transport you alongthe route as far as the last bus stop before the Hub. If a transfer is requiredand the location is not along the path to the garage then passengers mayuse the Reserve A Ride service to reach their destination.

A live tracking bus locator system isavailable for fixed-route and reservationbased operations. Passengers can trackthe location of different buses and routesby using www.dtbuslocator.com orwww.danvilletransit.com. The system canbe used on a personal computer, smartphone or tablet. For assistance, pleasecontact the Danville Transit office or usethe bus locator tutorial that is available onlineat www.danvilletransit.com.
