The trees are sparkling in a fresh coat of ice, the farm fields are smooth and glistening with a layer of fresh snow, and houses and barns sport a new cap of white. Overall, the result is to make the drab and ugly pretty again, and I am reminded of the old Gospel song, Whiter Than Snow: Whiter than snow, Yes, whiter than snow. Now wash me and I shall be Whiter than snow. The words are taken from David’s prayer of repentance found in Psalm 51, as he confesses his sin to God and asks the Lord to wash him “whiter than snow” (Psalm 51:7). He also asks that he would once again be able to “hear joy and gladness” (v. 8) as a result of God’s cleansing, and that is a concept that resonates in particular with me. You see, every hour of every day, we are broadcasting a message of joy and gladness, of the Good News of Salvation, of God’s love and forgiveness over our network of radio sta- tions. We know it isn’t always received, or even heard by all of the hundreds of thousands of people in our broadcast area…but some do. Some are, as David did, hearing with spiri- tual ears and understanding the message given, joying and rejoicing in Him. They have a clean heart and a right spirit, and are “receiving” the message of His Word as we share it over the airwaves. But others are not, and during this Christmas season I want you to pray with us that God would, by His Spirit, draw them unto Himself, and wash them “whiter than snow.” During this Christmas season, more than any other time of year, we have a unique oppor- tunity to point listeners to the REAL meaning of Christmas- Jesus Christ, our Savior. Join us as we pray for them to hear the Truth of God’s Word as they tune across the radio dial, to listen, to turn to a God who loves them…so that they too will hear real joy and real glad- ness this Christmas season as He washes them Whiter than Snow. Merry Christmas from all of us at Thy Word Network,

“Lives changed by the application of God’s Word through music and ministry”

Whiter Than Snow…We had an early start to our Winter a few days ago with a inch or two of snow across the area, and I always enjoy looking out the window as morning breaks and seeing the change that takes place to the landscape. The trees are sparkling in a fresh coat of ice, the farm fields are smooth and glistening with a layer of fresh snow, and houses and barns sport a new cap of white. Overall, the result is to make the drab and ugly pretty again, and I am reminded of the old Gospel song, Whiter Than Snow:

Whiter than snow,

Yes, whiter than snow.

Now wash me and I shall be

Whiter than snow.

You see, every hour of every day, we are broadcasting a message of joy and gladness, of the Good News of Salvation, of God’s love and forgiveness over our network of radio sta-tions. We know it isn’t always received, or even heard by all of the hundreds of thousands of people in our broadcast area…but some do. Some are, as David did, hearing with spiri-tual ears and understanding the message given, joying and rejoicing in Him. They have a clean heart and a right spirit, and are “receiving” the message of His Word as we share it over the airwaves. But others are not, and during this Christmas season I want you to pray with us that God would, by His Spirit, draw them unto Himself, and wash them “whiter than snow.”

During this Christmas season, more than any other time of year, we have a unique oppor-tunity to point listeners to the REAL meaning of Christmas- Jesus Christ, our Savior. Join us as we pray for them to hear the Truth of God’s Word as they tune across the radio dial, to listen, to turn to a God who loves them…so that they too will hear real joy and real glad-ness this Christmas season as He washes them Whiter than Snow.Merry Christmas from all of us at Thy Word Network,

Procrastinators Anonymous:For those of us who seem to live by the motto, “Never do today what you can put off until tomorrow,” we have another deadline coming upon us quickly. December 31st will be here before we know it, and with it comes the deadline for 2018 giving. If it was up to me, I would let you carry over for a few weeks, but the IRS tells us that in order to receipt your gift for 2018, it must be postmarked by Midnight, Dec. 31……no excuses! Don’t forget you can give online quickly and easily at thyword.org, just click the DONATE button on the home page.

So don’t delay…and even more importantly, give a generous end-of-year gift, as Thy Word Network depends upon these gifts to continue operation in the New Year. If God has blessed you through the programming and on-air ministry, I hope you will give accordingly, and we will be blessed as well as, together, we broadcast God’s Word in 2019.

Joy to the WorldThy Word Network will be airing a number of Christmas specials in the coming month as we focus on the birth of our Savior. For a complete listing of Christmas specials, check our website www.thyword.org for dates and times.
