The Goshorns Step by Step

We miss having Daniel and Matthew very much

here in Peru, but you can’t imagine how proud we

are of them. Matthew has a job and will start college

in January. His boss told us he is a great addition to

the staff and a wonderful representative of Christ.

Daniel is also working while keeping up with his

studies and his boss is also very pleased with his

work. To top it off we now have a daughter-in-law

who is also a very strong Christian. The wedding of

Daniel and Audrey was beautiful and honored the

sanctity of marriage that God has blessed us with. It’s

going to be awesome to see how the Lord uses them

in His Kingdom.

While in the States we were able to visit with some

churches and individuals to share about Peru. We

also hosted two dinners and at one of them there

were thirteen different churches and five different

denominations represented. How awesome is that?

People were excited to hear how God is using their

support in Peru. It’s such a privilege to be working

with all of them in Gods Kingdom. We had several

churches express an interest in sending teams to

Peru in 2016. This is a great way to open doors to

share the Gospel.

We humbly thank you for your continued

prayers and financial support. If you haven’t

yet, we ask that you would prayerfully

consider financially supporting this ministry

in Peru. Without more financial partners this

ministry can not continue to grow. We love

you all and thank you for being part of God’s

work in Peru.

The

We are now ready to get back home to Peru. The

feeding program has continued while we’ve been

gone with the help of our Peru team as well as the

prison ministry. The Kids Club stopped while we

were away so we’ll start that up again once we re-

turn. Needless to say we’re excited.

We are in need of more funds to help keep these

ministries going and others that will be starting this

spring. For example, the discipleship group in

Lampa will start in the spring and books and Bibles

are needed. Also, funds are needed to help in

transitioning kids out of the orphanage and

women’s prison. Please consider serving with us in

Peru through your prayers, financial support and

short term missions.

BLESSED

The journey that we call life is so amazing. You see things when you look back that you never saw at the moment.

We’ve been so BLESSED and we don’t even see it most of the time. God has guided Jennifer’s and my life from the

beginning; I mean what are the odds that I would be so BLESSED that we would both win trips through the same

company and meet in the Bahamas when she lived in New York and I in Kentucky. We’ve had some hard times, but we

were BLESSED that the Lord guided our eyes upon Him and showed us what was really important. We were BLESSED

with three children that have grown to be great ambassadors of God. The greatest BLESSING of all was learning that

the Lord would use me no matter how much I tried to live for earthly things. It is such a BLESSING to have the peace

and comfort of the Holy Spirit living in me. When we decided that we would follow Gods calling there were constant

obstacles to overcome, and still are. For example, when we were getting close to leaving for Costa Rica to attend

language school I was told that I had cancer. When I said the word cancer and then said the name Jesus, I knew it

would be OK. After having surgery the doctor said it went well and that I should start Chemo, I told him no and the Lord

has BLESSED me with good test results since. While in Language school I spent five weeks in a hospital in Costa Rica for

multiple hernias and several severe infections. The doctors came in my room and said they were worried because they

couldn’t find out what the infections were. I was BLESSED to have the comfort of the Lord and I told them not to worry,

they would figure it out, and they did. We are BLESSED to have a mission agency that truly cares and sent someone to

Costa Rica to stay with us and love on us during that time.

Now as we sit in the airport heading back to Peru after being BLESSED with the wedding of Daniel and Audrey who is

also great ambassador of God, I realized that we're so BLESSED to have the privilege to be part of the Body of Christ. I

mean what a privilege to be put in the position to see the Body of Christ at work. While in Costa Rica we attended a

church and after the service an elderly lady asked if we were missionaries and we said yes. She then told us about some

missionaries that she met when she was a little girl and how they changed her life for eternity. When she was leaving

she said “I want you to know that at seven o’clock every morning, this little old lady will be praying for you” and I’ve no

doubt that she does. That’s truly the Body of Christ at work. We can’t express how BLESSED we are to have so many

people supporting us. We had a dinner this month to share about Peru and we had people representing thirteen

different churches and five different denominations show up. We’re so BLESSED never to have worried where we

would sleep, if we would have a car to drive or having enough people volunteer to help with trips to and from

the airport while we’re in the states. How powerful the Body of Christ is when it works together. We’re

BLESSED now with a Peruvian team wanting to serve the Lord. We love each and everyone of you and thank

you so much for all the BLESSINGS.

Philippians 4:19 And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.
