Scope of Work
Construction of a new 26,815 square foot (approx.), 30-bed detention facility to house juvenile offenders. The project superstructure will be concrete and steel, located on approximately 2.48 acres of county-owned land located on the corner of Old Wards Ferry Road and Justice Center Drive in Sonora, California.
The single facility will include one housing unit (18 sleeping rooms), classrooms, dayroom, medical examination
room, an enclosed-secure outdoor exercise area, central control room, juvenile processing area, holding cells, vehicu-
lar sallyport, administration/staff area, laundry room, kitchen and maintenance area plus other ancillary spaces.
Construction will also include site work, irrigation, landscaping, utilities, security electronics, fencing and parking.
F&H Construction is the project prime contractor. The
following describes this month’s progress:
BSCC Mockup inspection completed.
Dewatering and mucking out of footings as needed due to
inclement weather.
CMU block installation continues up to 4’ in all quadrants.
Recreation Yard concrete placed.
Steel columns erected on site. Welding of rebar to col-
umns continues.
Epoxy Dowels placement ongoing.
Curb and gutter along building entrance formed and
placed.
Forming for curb completed.
Slab-on-Grade complete..
Door frame installation and plumbing in front of CMU
placements continues.
Trench and conduit placement for Parking and Exterior Lighting.
Transfer use of stockpile to Tuolumne County complete.

SAFETY
The project team continues to stress safety and maintain
a goal of zero recordable incidents. We have worked 204
calendar days without a recordable incident.
All rules for onsite conduct are being followed.
Contractor has been notified to ensure new subcontrac-
tors have all required PPE on arrival to start their work.
