From the President Welcome to Summer and the December edition of Power Press. Firstly, I would like to congratulate all involved in the Senior Presentation night function held at the Laurimar Town Park Clubrooms and the Junior Presentation night held at Skaterz. To the players who received awards well done on a great season. And to the coaches who gave up their time and then nominated players for awards thank you. Of course a special mention to our new Club Champion, Chloe Freeman. It was great to give some- thing back to someone who has given a lot for our club. And it was great to have another young cham- pion, Ashlee Landy hand over the title. We certainly have some fine young people involved in the club. To the committee who made the arrangements, ordered the trophies and MC’d the ceremony, well done on a great effort. Both nights were a great way to finish off the season and were enjoyed by all. Congratulations also to the 15B Premiership team and to our 5 other teams taking part in grand fi- nals. Our results have been terrific and we are looking forward to adding to our list of premierships that we have enjoyed so far. Registration Day was last Sunday and thanks to the families and individuals who came down to con- firm their commitment to the club for 2015. If you want to be part of a team for next year you need to download a registration form from the club website and return it to [email protected] with your membership payment. And of course, new players are very welcome across all age groups. Special thanks to our club sponsors and advertisers this year. Your contribution financially or in kind has been greatly appreciated by the members. Finally, I would like to thank the club committee for all the hard work they have put in to this season. Much of the toil that is required to have the members involved occurs behind the scenes and is some- times overlooked. Best wishes to everyone for a happy and safe Christmas and New Year and I look forward to seeing you all again in 2015. Go Power! Ian Landy (President LNC) Premiership Success! Congratulations Chloe Freeman on being named Club

Champion for 2014. Chloe was presented the trophy by the 2013 club champion, Ashlee Landy It was great to see

these two young club members being recognised for the way they contribute to the club.

Chloe was presented with the following statement as the

reason:

―This years winner is definitely a worthy recipient. She plays for a senior team and a junior team. She has filled in

for teams when required. She has been a member of the club tournament teams and has coached U9’s for four

seasons over the past 2 years. Most recently she suc-cessfully nominated as the Junior Committee President

and has been leading this group very well. It is with great pleasure that the 2014 Club Champion Award goes to

Chloe Freeman.‖

Well done Chloe!

Laurimar Netball Club Coaches Corner

On behalf of all of the players and the LNC committee we would like to extend an enormous thanks to all of our coaches/captains and team managers this season. It takes an enormous commitment to volunteer your time to coach games and run training every week and without our coaches we could not have a great netball club. A similar commitment is required for our senior captains and managers. So for 2014 we would like to thank:

Net-Set-Go News

The junior committee has been very busy organising and helping the club with a few events. We as a junior committee helped out at the presentation night at Skaterz in Eltham where each of

the members had a role to complete in order to make the night successful. People were in charge of the following roles. Trophy presentation (Chloe & Liana), Door (Ashlee & Tanasha), MC

(Chloe), Photos (Kate), selling raffle tickets (All). We have also looked into ordering beanies for those freezing winter days.

On behalf of the junior committee team, we all want to wish you a Merry Christmas and a safe 2015. We are looking forward to seeing you all next season, refreshed and ready to play a new

season. Kate Keating (on behalf of the Junior Committee).
