Happy, Happy Birthday to You!
Intergen News:
Do you have any favorite recipes that you make at
home with your child? We are looking for some
great recipes that are easy and quick to use on
Monday afternoons at “Cooking Club.”
Healthy Tip of the Month:
This month we challenge you to…
Think of healthy ways to adapt those
holiday recipes. For example, use
alternative sugars or no-sugar-added
ingredients as substitutes.
We need your help with Swimming:
We could use your on swim days to assist in cutting down the
amount of time we spend changing and getting ready for swimming
to ensure the children actually get to swim for an hour.
Suggestions are as follows:
Hooded bath towels would be appreciated as they are
easier to carry.
Easy on/off clothes and shoes to ensure children can be
self-sufficient in changing themselves in a timely manner.

From the Classroom:
November was quite an eventful month! We would like to thank all the families for making our
Thanksgiving Luncheon a success! Without all of you it wouldn’t have been possible! The children worked very
hard to prepare for the lunch and it was great to see all their great results. We would also like to thank everyone
for bringing in soup to donate to Oberlin Community Services. We collected _____ cans and even a few boxed
items! We enjoyed having a guest reader on the 18th
as Takeshi’s grandma, who was visiting from Australia, came
in to read poetry to us. December is going to full of fun as we explore the using our senses. We will also be
exploring all the holiday traditions of the children. We are excited to share your traditions with all of the children
so make sure to e-mail those to use ASAP.
Happy Holidays!
