First Reconciliation Parent Meeting The meeting will be in Avila Hall this evening,
December 15 at 7 pm. While it will not be long, the
meeting will have information necessary for parents to
assist in the preparation of their children. At least one parent is
required to be present for their child to receive the sacrament
this year. Our meeting is for parents only; children should not
attend. The reception of the Sacrament of First Reconciliation is
scheduled for Saturday February 4 at 11 am. Please call Deacon
Gregg Rose with questions.
Welcoming a New Tradition St. Teresa has had a long tradition of involving our
parish children in the celebration of our Christmas
Vigil Mass. While we will not be continuing the reenactment of
the gospel as in years past, we will begin several new ways to
involve our children. For the first time, our eighth grade students
who received the Sacrament of Confirmation last year, will serve
in the ministries of Lectors and Eucharistic Distributors. Our
Joyful Noise choir will provide all of the music for mass and the
St. Teresa Youth Group will act as Greeters. Please support the
commitment of our youngest members in this sacred celebration.

CHILD PROTECTION Thank you to all the volunteers and employees who
remain current throughout the year with Virtus
Bulletins and other requirements as they arise. Staying
current has such a positive impact on not only our administrative
tasks, but demonstrates your concern and care for the youth of our
Parish! May God bless you during this joyful time of year. If you
have any questions, please feel free to contact me and I will help
you in any way I can. Merry Christmas! Bill Thoman.
Volunteering Opportunity We are looking for a few people who would have an interest in
serving on the Buildings and Grounds Commission. In the
coming year we will be having an energy audit done and assessing
our long term lighting, heating, air conditioning and power
sources. Everything is already in place and beginning. It would
be wonderful to have some additional folks who for one reason or
another have not had an opportunity to help in the past. Our
meetings are scheduled when needed or to discuss a host of
projects ranging from flowers to boilers. You need NOT be a civil
engineer or handyperson to be involved. If interested or needing
more information, please contact Bill Thoman at the Parish Office
during regular business hours.
Aubrey Rose Scholarship 8th graders who will be attending a Catholic
High School in the Archdiocese next school year may apply for
the Aubrey Rose Scholarship. You can find out more information
and print an application by visiting the website
www.aubreyrose.org. Applications and essays are due no later
than January 27, 2017.
