CAMT, CAM and CAPS Updates DeliveredNAAEIs new Certified Apartment Maintenance Technician (CAMT)

program was delivered in September and is being pilot tested in Dallas.

The new CAMT utilizes a blended learning approach, delivering two

    modules and practice scenarios online.

The program includes seven hours of online training with 70 hours

of classroom instruction. It can be taken as an entire designation

course or students may take individual modules to help improve

    specific skills.

Busy apartment industry professionals now may earn their Certified

Apartment Manager (CAM) designations online. In September, 19

    students enrolled in CAM online.

In October, NAAEI delivered the new Certified Apartment Property

Supervisor (CAPS) program. This is a 40-hour or five-day program

that students can take as a designation course or in individual modules.

The Effective Leadership module should be of particular interest

to property supervisors or those who are ready to advance to that role.

The program covers legal responsibilities and risk management

financial management; property performance management; property

evaluation and due diligence; and effective leadership.
